The “Spider’s Web” of Controlling Factors 2016: Understanding the CDC’s Power-grab Proposed Rule on Communicable Diseases

By Catherine J. Frompovich

October 14, 2016 is a critically important date for all U.S. citizens who value their perception of being a “free American,” and an individual who possesses Constitutional rights and does not live in a totalitarian police state.  That is the date the comment period ends regarding the CDC’s Proposed Rule “Control of Communicable Diseases” published in the Federal Register Number 2016-18103.

In the hopes of helping readers comprehend what’s seemingly going on and possibly why, I’ve put together some of the known factions that are involved or are contingencies with regard to “control” and which impact the American meme that is being taken away day-by-day with what appears to be a full-bore push in the CDC’s blatant power over-reach.  Below are some factors to consider in what’s going on.

The spider’s web

In the USA, 90 percent of the media is owned by 6 corporations, aka the Media Oligarchy:

  • GE owns Comcast, NBC, Universal Pictures, and Focus Features

  • News Corp owns Fox, Wall Street Journal, and New York Post

  • Disney owns ABC, ESPN, Pixar, Miramax, and Marvel Studios

  • Viacom owns MTV, Nick Jr, BET, CMT, and Paramount Pictures

  • Time Warner owns CNN, HBO, Time, and Warner Bros.

  • CBS owns Showtime, Smithsonian Channel, NFL.com, Jeopardy, 60 Minutes

Only 232 media executives control the information ‘diet’ of roughly 277 million Americans, considering that the official U.S. population is around 324.6 million people.

Furthermore, there are 6 media giants with financial clout amounting to $275.9 billion combined revenues for 2010 alone, which was $36 billion more than the GDP of the country of Finland!

News Corp owns the top 3 newspapers on 3 continents:

  • Wall Street Journal in North America

  • The Sun in the European Union

  • The Australian in Australia

Would you believe that only 10 corporations own almost everything you, as a consumer, buy or use?
