NBC News in freak-out over Megyn Kelly ratings ‘disaster’

(National SentinelMedia: In case you didn’t know it – and, judging by ratings, you most likely didn’t – former Fox News cable star Megyn Kelly has a new gig she’s just recently launched on rival NBC News.

Organic-Storable-Food-Supply-MRWhen they signed her, execs expected that she would bring with her the massive audience she had built during her time at Fox. But apparently that didn’t happen.

As reported by Breitbart News, Kelly already appears to be tanking, as evidenced by a ratings “disaster” that, for some reason, no one at NBC expected:

NBC is reportedly “freaking out” because the network’s over-hyped talent Megyn Kelly has already been a “ratings disaster.”

“They didn’t pay her $15 million for this. They are now worried that her numbers will be bad when she joins the 9 am hour of Today,” a source reportedly told Radar Online. “If Kelly tanks at 9 am she will also bring down Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb at 10 am.”

So – what happened? Kelly debuted with Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly a week ago with a much-hyped interview featuring Russian President Vladimir Putin. But she didn’t even draw enough viewers to beat out a rerun of CBS News‘ “60 Minutes.”

Her second program didn’t fare any better. RadarOnline reported that Kelly’s interview with sportscaster Erin Andrews “was destroyed by ’60 Minutes,’ which scored 7.66 million total viewers. Kelly got a paltry 4.35 million people to tune into her program.”

So, NBC is already panicking and “scrambling” to land big “gets” like disgraced ‘comedienne’ Kathy Griffin or Ariana Grande because, the source said, the network execs have already figured out “people are not tuning in to watch Megyn without huge guests.”

Apparently she’s also had trouble lining up a producer for her daily one-hour show as well; no one wants to attach their name to a sinking ship.

And her next big flop is already generating mega-negative attention. She has taped an interview with conservative firebrand and conspiracy king Alex Jones of Infowars; Jones has said he believes the 9/11 attacks were an inside job and that the Sandy Hook attacks, in which nearly two dozen kindergarten-aged kids were gunned down, were a “hoax.”

This was all very predictable – that is, to most people not living inside the Washington-NYC media “bubble,” which resembles nothing close to real America.

Before she left Fox, Kelly was already suffering from her perceived bad treatment of then-GOP candidate-turned-nominee-turned President Donald J. Trump, with conservatives dumping her show in droves.

Because she was a Fox News star, that hurt her with the Left-leaning crowd that watches NBC. It was a no win-no win from the outset.
