High school teacher fired because he used the wrong pronoun with a transgender student
(National Sentinel) Surreal: An experienced high school teacher with an exemplary record is now out on the street and out of a job thanks to the lunacy of the Left’s gender-bending ideology.
As reported by CBS affiliate WWBT, West Point High School (West Point, Va.) French teacher Peter Vlaming was fired last week by the school board not because he struck a student or had sex with one of them, but rather because he referred to a transgender student with the wrong pronoun.

This issue came to a crux during a virtual reality exercise back in October, where Vlaming said he called out “don’t let her walk into the wall” as the transgender student walked in that direction.
Vlaming claimed it was a slip of the tongue.
Vlaming says he often uses the students names in the classroom and not pronouns. He says he used the student’s new name, but says “out of good conscious and faith he could not use the male pronouns”. #VAnews #NBC12

Actually, it was more a matter of conscience — and not giving in to the crazy PC authoritarianism of the Nazi Left.
“I’m totally happy to use the new name,” Vlaming said. “I’m happy to avoid female pronouns not to offend because I’m not here to provoke… but I can’t refer to a female as a male, and a male as a female in good conscience and faith.

Unacceptable, roared school administrators.
“That was, in fact, discriminatory because all the other students were being used pronouns, but this student was not being used pronouns,” Superintendent Laura Abel testified at the school board hearing.
Vlaming was put on administrative leave Oct. 31 “after West Point High School Principal Jon Hochman said Vlaming did not obey his directive to use the proper identity pronouns for the student (“he”, “him” etc.),” the WWBT reported.
“Tolerance is a two-way street,” said Shawn Voyles, Vlaming’s attorney. “My client respects this student’s rights; he is simply asking that his rights be respected as well… The student is absolutely free to identify as the student pleases.
“The school board adopted one viewpoint and required Mr. Vlaming, at the cost of his job, to repeat that ideology, repeat that viewpoint. That’s where it’s compelled speech. That’s where it violates his First Amendment right he still retains as a public employee,” he said.
No, tolerance isn’t a two-way street when it comes to the Left’s behavior dictates. You either comply — the Constitution’s protections be damned — or you pay the price. And that includes referring to boys as girls and vice versa just because they “identify” as a non-birth gender.
Western culture is dying a slow, painful death at the hands of liberal/progressive totalitarians who enforce behavioral and speech codes anathema to rational thought and devoid of reality.
