Groan alert: Sen. Mazie Hirono thinks Dems can’t connect with voters because they’re SO smart
(National Sentinel) Head Scratcher: There is a reason why Democrats often have so much trouble connecting with voters, and it has nothing at all to do with their policies, according to Sen. Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii.
No, it’s not that they are Left of the Castro brothers and Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro. It’s not that they want to tax everyone into oblivion. It’s not their open-borders policies, their hate speech laws, or their push to negate the Second Amendment.
It’s that they’re all just too damned smart for the average American.
According to The Daily Wire, Hirono said Democrats need to stop being so “left brain” and work on connecting with voters’ hearts.
Oh.
She made her comments at the “Bend Towards Justice” conference, in response to a question about how to get voters to understand that the courts matter, and that judicial appointments ought be a key campaign issue (because Left-wing Democrats need to own the federal courts in order to force their agenda on the country, you see).

“One of the things that we Democrats have a really hard time is connecting to people’s hearts instead of here [points at brain],” Hirono began. “We’re really good at shoving out all the information that touch people here [points to brain] but not here [points to heart].
“I’ve been saying it all our Senate Democratic retreats we need to speak to the heart, not in a manipulative way, not in a way that brings forth everybody’s fears and resentments, but truly to speak to the hearts so that people know that we’re actually on their side,” she continued.
“When you have a really hard time doing that and one of the reasons that was shown to me at one of our retreats was that we Democrats know so much, that is true,” Hirono continued. “We have to kind of tell everyone how smart we are and so we have a tendency to be very left-brain.”
Like we said, groan alert.

In reality, all Democratic policies attempt to tug at heartstrings. They rely on emotions rather than practicality, common sense, and well-thought-out decision-making.
If Democrats really were as smart as they think they are, they’d have figured out a way to win elections without cheating at the ballot box or stacking the federal judiciary with Left-wing judicial activists.
Or figured out how to make socialism actually work.
