WhatsApp to let users download all data they share with app
Facebook-owned WhatsApp has announced that in coming weeks, it will allow all its users around the world to download and see the data that it collects on them. Users can go to Settings and tap on Account section to access ‘Request account info’, after which the report will be available for download. WhatsApp collects information including users’ device location.
