Video: Laser-powered flying robotic insect flaps its wings
A video shows a wireless flying robotic insect that is powered by a laser beam flapping its wings. Created by engineers at the University of Washington, it is called ‘RoboFly’ and is slightly heavier than a toothpick. The robot uses a tiny onboard circuit that converts the laser energy into enough electricity to operate its wings.
