Told you so: DEM candidate for sheriff advocates killing people to take their guns
(National Sentinel) Cold, Dead Fingers: A Democratic candidate for sheriff in a North Carolina county has said he would be willing to kill people if they did not turn over their guns.

In a recent speech, R. Daryl Fisher referenced a popular pro-gun slogan in making his threat.
Fisher made his comments in the context of favoring a complete ban on so-called “assault weapons,” which he likened to weapons of war.
“Any weapon that is designed for use by the military I think we should ban. You’ve heard people say you have to pry my gun from my cold dead hands. (shrugs) OK,” he said.
It should be noted that while certain semi-automatic rifles resemble those used by military forces in the U.S. and around the world, there are key differences between civilian and military models, such as limited automatic fire and heavier barrels.
Pro-gun advocates have often claimed that Democrats are anti-gun and would use force to round up guns they deem unsuitable for private use, despite the plain language of the Second Amendment and prior Supreme Court rulings noting that firearms ownership is an individual right.
The high court has also ruled that state bans on certain types of weapons and accessories do not infringe on the “right to keep and bear arms.”
