However, the California Republican said, there were “clear links” that the campaign of Democratic challenger Hillary Clinton and Russian operatives.

Nunes said the committee found “no evidence of collusion, coordination or conspiracy between the Trump campaign and the Russians,” according to Fox News.

“We need to get our FBI and our intelligence agencies working on real problems and get them away from what they’re doing now, which is, it looks likes spinning in circles,” Nunes added. “We spent 14 months on this investigation, looking for collusion. We didn’t find any.”

Program host Brian Kilmeade told Nunes that the panel’s ranking member, Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., said that the findings were a “tragic milestone” for Congress and they represented another “capitulation” to the Executive Branch.

Nunes countered that Schiff and Democrats were attempting to rewrite history because they were dissatisfied with the fact that no evidence of collusion could be found to support their initial allegations.

“They’ve said that numerous times, probably hundreds of times, nearly all of them. Yet they never produce their collusion to our committee. So we have interviewed all these folks. We can’t find any collusion. And that’s where we stand now,” Nunes told the Fox morning show.

He noted further that there were “clear links” between the Hillary Clinton campaign and Russians, but Democrats are not interested in that.

“The more that you look at this, the more it is pretty obvious that you have one side that plays by one set of rules, and Republicans are held to a different set of standards,” Nunes said.

The committee chairman has said in the past that the FBI should have opened an investigation into the Clinton campaign’s ties to the so-called “Trump-Russia dossier” in 2016, a bogus opposition research document that was paid for by the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee.

The 35-page document, written by former British spy Christopher Steele, was also used to secure a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court warrant by Obama-ear FBI and Justice Department officials to spy on a member of the Trump campaign.
