Wikileak’s legal advisor Sarah Harrison has submitted number of requests by hand for asylum and assisting in asylum process on behalf of NSA whistleblower Edward J. Snowden.

The requests were submitted by Sarah Harrison to the Russian consulate at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport.

The requests include a list of 19 countries where Snowdon is planning and applying for asylum, remember that this new list is an addition to outstanding requests in Ecuador and Iceland.

List of those 19 countries can be seen below:

  • Republic of Austria, the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Plurinational State of Bolivia, the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Cuba, the French Republic, the Republic of Finland, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Italian Republic, the Republic of India, the Republic of Ireland, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Republic of Nicaragua, the Kingdom of Norway, the Republic of Poland, the Russian Federation, the Kingdom of Spain, the Swiss Confederation and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

However the government of United States has asked or rather ‘ordered’ many countries especially Ecuador to deny any kind of asylum request by Snowden and send him back to the US.

NSA whistleblower Edward J. Snowden is stuck at the Moscow’s airport for over a week after getting his passport cancelled by the US authorities.
