FB Messenger hit by crypto-stealing malware for 2nd time
Facebook Messenger has been affected by a malware FacexWorm which uses phishing techniques to target cryptocurrency trading platforms, according to cybersecurity firm Trend Micro. It reportedly directs users to fake links where they are asked to install fake Chrome extensions. Last year, Messenger was affected by another cryptocurrency mining malware Digmine, according to a report by Trend Micro.
