Dubai may begin trials for digital license plates next month
Dubai is planning to begin trials for digital license plates in vehicles which will include GPS and transmitters, according to reports. Dubai’s transport authority said these devices can alert authorities during an accident or change displays if the car is stolen. It will also allow automatic deduction of fines, parking fees or renewing registration plates from users’ accounts.
