Democrats want Hillary to go – but she won’t

(National SentinelDying dynasty: The Clintons have dominated Democratic Party politics for decades, ever since Bill Clinton won the White House and brought along his erstwhile bride, Hillary.

chief-organics-msmBut after Bubba’s two scandal-filled terms and a pair of failed attempts by the former first lady to become president, Democrats are waking up to the fact that the party needs to unhitch from the Clinton wagon train. Only, Hillary keeps retying the reins.

As reported by Liberty Headlines:

Everywhere one looks now, one sees the political left wishing Mrs. Clinton would just go away. McClatchy political columnist Andrew Malcolm noted, “the ongoing public Clinton struggle with herself is alienating even supporters, and it’s crippling the required remodeling and rejuvenation of her aged Democrat Party that needs a very long rehab at some political spa.”

Alas the catharsis cannot commence until Clinton leaves the stage, but she refuses.

“Nothing will ensure that the Democratic Party fails to recoup its losses under the Obama administration more than allowing Hillary Clinton to hijack and lead the resistance against Donald Trump,” wrote liberal columnist Michael Sainato Tuesday in the (New York) Observer. Later in the column: Clinton lost to Trump because her campaign failed to convey a message that resonated with voters…. However, Hillary Clinton and her blindly loyal supporters are too out of touch to figure this out.”

Sainato went on to cite a report in The Hill that noted, “Democrats say they’d like Hillary Clinton to take a cue from former President Obama and step out of the spotlight.” Also, the paper reported that more than a dozen key Democrats “unanimously said Clinton needs to rethink her public blaming tour. ‘Good God, what is she doing?’ one longtime aide wondered after watching Clinton at the Recode conference in California on Wednesday. ‘She’s apparently still really, really angry.’”

Everywhere liberal politicos and journalists are hitting back against Hillary’s claims that her own party bequeathed her nothing and that she got no real help from anyone.

“I set up my campaign and we have our own data operation. I get the nomination. So I’m now the nominee for the Democratic Party. I inherit nothing from the Democratic Party. I mean, it was bankrupt,” she said at the Code Conference in California.

“I had to inject money into it to keep it going.”

She also complained about the “fake news”, yada, yada:

“The other side was using content that was just flat out false, and delivering it in a very personalized way, both above the radar screen and below. That really influenced the information that people were relying on. And there have been some studies since the election. The vast majority of the news items posted were fake. They were connected to the bots that were just out of control.”

What is she doing, asks Jill Lawrence of USA Today, who wrote recently, “Dear Hillary Clinton, please stop talking about 2016.” To wit:

[W]hy would Clinton choose to relitigate all of this, and now of all moments? We can’t miss her if she refuses to be gone.

Poor Hillary. The ‘smartest woman on earth’ can’t seem to take a multitude of hints that her presence is no longer needed nor wanted at Democratic Party headquarters.
