Deep State: ‘Unprecedented’ number of ex-CIA operatives running for Congress as DEMOCRATS to thwart Trump’s agenda

(National SentinelTrump Hate: A large number of former CIA operatives and officials are running for Congress in the 2018 midterms as Democrats, which may help to explain why there has been so much opposition to President Donald J. Trump’s policies in the intelligence community.

According to Patrick Martin of the World Socialist Web Site, the number of former CIA operatives running as Democrats has “no precedent in U.S. political history.”

The site noted further:

An extraordinary number of former intelligence and military operatives from the CIA, Pentagon, National Security Council and State Department are seeking nomination as Democratic candidates for Congress in the 2018 midterm elections. The potential influx of military-intelligence personnel into the legislature has no precedent in US political history.

If the Democrats capture a majority in the House of Representatives on November 6, as widely predicted, candidates drawn from the military-intelligence apparatus will comprise as many as half of the new Democratic members of Congress. They will hold the balance of power in the lower chamber of Congress.

Of the 102 primary elections to choose the Democratic nominees in these competitive districts, 44 involve candidates with a military-intelligence or State Department background, with 11 districts having two such candidates, and one district having three. In the majority of contests, the military-intelligence candidates seem likely to win the Democratic nomination, and, if the Democrats win in the general election, would enter Congress as new members of the House of Representatives.

As for how this ties in with the Deep State’s opposition to Trump, Internet entrepreneur Kim Dotcom explained.

“The Deep State no longer wants to rely on unreliable puppets. They want to run politics directly now,” he tweeted in response to the report Saturday.

Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, meanwhile, sees an attempt by the Marxist Democratic Party to consolidate power throughout American institutions.

“The merger between the CIA, the Democrats, Iraq war neocons, NBC, CNN, and the Washington (Amazon) Post is a baleful predictor for US democracy,” he tweeted.

The president, however, is reportedly considering a proposal by Erik Prince, the former head of private security firm Blackwater, and a retired CIA officer to provide CIA Director Mike Pompeo and the administration with a global, privately operated spy network that circumvents the U.S. intelligence community, The Intercept reported, adding that former Reagan national security official and retired Marine Lt. Col. Oliver North is also involved in the effort.

The site noted:

“Pompeo can’t trust the CIA bureaucracy, so we need to create this thing that reports just directly to him,” said a former senior U.S. intelligence official with firsthand knowledge of the proposals, in describing White House discussions. “It is a direct-action arm, totally off the books,” this person said, meaning the intelligence collected would not be shared with the rest of the CIA or the larger intelligence community. “The whole point is this is supposed to report to the president and Pompeo directly.”

As for Prince — whose sister is Trump Education Secretary Betsy DeVos — he is likely already a Deep State target.

As The Hill reported Friday, “Special counsel Robert Mueller‘s team has reportedly heard testimony that appears at odds with answers Blackwater founder Erik Prince gave to the House Intelligence Committee about a meeting he attended with a Russian executive before President Trump‘s inauguration.”

The news site noted further:

George Nader, a UAE adviser who has emerged as a key figure in Mueller’s probe, told Mueller that the UAE officials at the meeting in Seychelles didn’t introduce Prince and Russian executive Kirill Dmitriev, as Prince had stated.

Prince, who founded the private security company formerly known as Blackwater, today known as Academi, had testified before the House Intelligence Committee that the meeting was by chance and had been set up by a UAE official.
