Data available to anybody who wanted it: Man behind FB leak
Aleksandr Kogan, who leaked Facebook users’ data to British firm Cambridge Analytica, has said the users and their friends’ data was “available to anybody who wanted it who was a developer”. Claiming that opt-in feature was not a special permission you had to get, he added, “This was a core feature of the Facebook platform for years.”
