CRAZY: NBC says it will broadcast PROTESTING players during its SUPER BOWL broadcast

(National SentinelNFHell: The NBC network, which is broadcasting this season’s Super Bowl, said it plans to show any NFL players who plant to protest during the playing of the National Anthem.

The anthem is traditionally played live and shown during Super Bowl broadcasts. But it wasn’t typical for TV networks to broadcast it for ordinary games during the regular season. That changed this last year, however, as more players took a knee or sat during the playing of the anthem, as a means of protesting alleged social injustices.

“When you are covering a live event, you are covering what’s happening,” NBC Sports EP Fred Gaudelli told reporters at the Television Critics Association on Tuesday.

“If there are players who choose to kneel, they will be shown live,” he said.

NBC broadcasters Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth would likely give the players’ names, some background on the a protests, and then “get on with the game,” he added.

According to Fox News, “The anthem will be aired live and is scheduled to be performed by Pink. Potential protesters will have an opportunity to make a statement in front of a massive audience, as 112.2 million people watched Super Bowl LI last season – the fifth most-watched program in television history.”

That may not be accurate. This season, the protests have been blamed for double-digit decreases in ratings and loss of millions of viewers.
