Could’ve addressed user data leak 2.5 yrs ago: Facebook COO
Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg has admitted the company could’ve addressed the Cambridge Analytica data leak “two and a half years ago”. “We thought the data had been deleted and we should have checked,” Sandberg said, adding that Cambridge Analytica had assured Facebook it was deleted. Facebook didn’t inform users about the leak because “we thought” it was deleted, she added.
