Concentration of power weaponises the Web: WWW creator
World Wide Web creator Tim Berners-Lee has said, “The fact that power is concentrated among so few companies has made it possible to weaponise the Web at scale.” He added, in recent years, conspiracy theories have trended on social media platforms. He also pointed out to fake social media accounts causing social tensions, and “troves of personal data” being stolen.
