Boeing hit with Wannacry ransomware which spread last year

Aerospace company Boeing was reportedly hit by the WannaCry ransomware which affected some manufacturing equipment used to build 787 Dreamliner and 777 wide-body jets. The company said the production and deliveries weren’t affected and some reports on the attack “are overstated and inaccurate”. Last year, WannaCry spread globally using a Windows exploit, demanding Bitcoin to decrypt users’ files.
