We have witnessed how Anonymous hackers attack government websites against its policies, but witnessing Anonymous hacking their own website is something new to experience.

Yes, Anonymous hackers have defaced their own websites for Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA) Blackout, protesting against the law in the United States which would allow for the sharing of Internet traffic information between the U.S. government and technology and manufacturing companies.

One of the Anonymous hacker going with the handle of @Doemela told me that “we purposely defaced three of our own sites to mark protest against the internet control law in the US.”

Hackers uploaded their deface page showing Anonymous logo with a brief message against CISPA law, according to the message:

“Again, you are trying to pass this ridiculous CISPA law in order to control censor the people. Anyone with a Facebook account could now have their data shipped directly to the U.S. government. That’s why Internet users overwhelmingly oppose this bill. Over 1.5 million people signed petitions against it. But Congress didn’t listen.” [Complete message is available on the deface page].

List of hacked sites is given below:

The group has also launched an online petition campaign where anyone can sign in petition against the bill. You can sign petition by clicking here.

At the time of publishing this article, all 3 websites were displaying deface page left by the hackers.
