Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards blasted President Trump in an interview warning Americans to “get rid” of the president and recalled the last time he got angry with the now commander-in-chief.

Richards, 74, spoke to the BBC along with Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger to promote their tour “No Filter,” which begins Thursday in Dublin. Richards told the BBC the last time he became angry was at Trump.

The legendary guitarist explained Trump was promoting their concert in Atlantic City during their 1989 “Steel Wheels” tour. However, Richards was fuming angry when he saw the show billed as “Donald Trump presents the Rolling Stones.”

“When we got to Atlantic City,” Richards told the BBC, “[The concert was prominently advertised as] ‘Donald Trump Presents’… ‘The Rolling Stones’ [was written] in miniature.”

"We never have much to do with promoters usually, but this one got me,” he continued. “That was the last time I got angry — I pulled out my trusty blade, stuck it in the table and said: 'You've got to get rid of this man.'”

"Now America has to get rid of him. Don't say I didn't warn you,” Richards joked.

Jagger also discussed Trump and how the president, when he was a candidate in 2016, used the band’s song “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” without the Rolling Stones’ permission.

"He used it on everything. He used it on every rally through the election campaign,” Jagger said.  “I wasn't the DJ, obviously but, it’s a funny song for your play-out song.”  

"So when he finished the speech, he played this out on this sort of doomy ballad about drugs in Chelsea,” Jagger continued.  “It's kind of weird if you think about it, but he couldn't be persuaded to use something else. That was an odd thing, really odd."

Stephen King found himself in hot water for a tweet many felt was insensitive about first lady Melania Trump's recent surgery.

The first lady underwent surgery Monday morning for a benign kidney condition and is expected to remain hospitalized for "the duration of the week."

The famous author tweeted shortly after the White House's announcement.

"Not to be snarky, but Melania can probably use a week’s rest from Blabbermouth Don," King tweeted. "Sounds heavenly to me."

The outspoken liberal was immediately met with angry Twitter followers who felt his tweet was inappropriate considering the serious nature of Melania's surgery.

"Where is the civility?" one user asked.

Another said, "Cruel, shame!"

"How disgraceful," another person tweeted.

Late night host Jimmy Fallon made a similar joke during his opening monologue on Monday night. He joked that when Melania's doctor told her she could go home "she was like, 'No pressure, make sure.'"

The White House has not offered any additional information about the first lady's condition, citing her privacy. Vice President Mike Pence, however, described the procedure as "long planned" during a speech Monday night in Washington.

The first lady was last seen in public on Wednesday at a White House event where she and the president honored military mothers and spouses for Mother's Day. She later accompanied Trump to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland to welcome home three Americans who had been detained in North Korea.

As Pamela Anderson continues to be one of Julian Assange’s greatest advocates while he sits in legal exile at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London. Now, she’s hoping to enlist the help of Kanye West to drum up public support for Assange’s cause.

According to a letter obtained by TMZ, the former “Baywatch” beauty penned a note to West in the hopes of convincing him to use his celebrity and social media platform, which has been getting a lot of attention of late, to drum up support for Assange in the United States. Anderson hopes to get him freed from the embassy. Anderson claims the situation is urgent as Assange is being “tortured.”

“I was wondering about your thoughts on Julian Assange. I support him and I know you value Free Speech,” Anderson wrote in the letter. “Visibility is good for him especially in America.Where they are trying to put him away for life or worse for exposing corruption in governments. I think they are trying to kill him. It is Torture.”

As previously reported, U.S. intelligence agencies have determined that Wikileaks coordinated with Russian intelligence to release hacked emails from the Democratic National Committee during the 2016 election campaign. Attorney General Jeff Sessions has said in the past that the Justice Department considers arresting Assange a priority.

Anderson claims that Assange has been locked in a “small room” for almost 6 years since and has been cut off from any visitors, phone calls or internet access.

“He is genius. A real world leader that young people love,” she writes. “So, I want to seek more voices and share more about his fight. Public support could set him free. Media is monopolized So some brave voices are the only Hope to break through.”

The star appealed to West’s ego, telling him that she respects his “no filter,” approach to public life. Recently, though, his propensity for speaking his unfiltered mind got him in some hot water. After expressing public support for Donald Trump on Twitter, West appeared on TMZ where he admitted to an opiod addiction and offhandedly mentioned that he believes slavery was a choice for those in captivity.

Town & Country magazine apologized to Monica Lewinsky after they uninvited her from an event about social change after receiving President Bill Clinton's RSVP.

"We apologize to Ms. Lewinsky and regret the way the situation was handled," the magazine tweeted on Thursday.

Their tweet came after Lewinsky called them out on Twitter saying, "dear world: please don't invite me to an event (esp one about social change) and --then after i've accepted-- uninvite me because bill clinton then decided to attend/was invited. it's 2018."

The apology came one day after Town & Country's philantrophy summit took place Wednesday morning at Hearst Tower in New York. 

Lewinsky, 44, said the organizers behind the event offered her the opportunity to write a magazine article instead.

"p.s. ...and definitely, please don't try to ameliorate the situation by insulting me with an offer of an article in your mag," Lewinsky tweeted, adding that author Emily Post, known for writing about proper decorum, "would def not approve."

A spokesperson for Clinton said the former president was invited to the summit and "gladly accepted. Neither he nor his staff knew anything about the invitation or it being rescinded."

Clinton opened the event and introduced Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students behind the March for Our Lives gun control movement, who spoke on a panel about activism.

Lewinsky has been in the spotlight since her affair with Clinton in the 1990s when she was in her early 20s. Often ridiculed, she's become an anti-bullying advocate and activist.

Although Kim Kardashian West is known as a reality TV star, she’s in the midst of a major push for criminal justice reform with regards to a 62-year-old great-grandmother who is serving a life sentence that’s brought her in close contact with the White House.

In an exclusive interview with Mic, which initially profiled Alicia Johnson, a woman serving a sentence for drug conspiracy and money laundering, Kardashian West explained why she got involved with the case and what the status of her work is right now.

“I’ve been in communication with the White House and trying to bring her case to the president’s desk and figure out how we can get her out,” Kardashian West tells Mic in the video below. “That’s such a huge step from where we started with that not even being on their radar.”

Kardashian West even said that she’s been working with Jared Kushner and the Trump administration for months to try and make headway on getting Johnson freed. She says that she felt moved by a video profile the site did on Johnson in 2017 and immediately took action, hiring her personal legal team to represent the incarcerated woman.

As previously reported, Johnson became involved with cocaine dealers after she lost her job, her son was killed, she and her husband divorced and her home was foreclosed on, Mic reported in 2013.

According to Mic, Johnson said she did not sell drugs or make deals but did admit to acting as an intermediary for those involved, passing along messages. She was given life in prison — without parole, something Kardashian West takes issue with.

“If you think about a decision that you’ve made in your life and you get life without the possibility of parole for your first-time nonviolent offense, there’s just something so wrong with that,” she said.

The star went on to explain that she has had a shift in her priorities and the way she looks at her wealth as of late.

“Where I’m at in my life right now, just like, to go and spend my money buying material things just doesn’t satisfy me the way that it used to,” she said. “To save someone’s life and do that once a year, then that would make [my] heart fuller.”

Kardashian West has no easy tasks in front of her. At the moment, the only thing that will free Johnson is a pardon on behalf of president Donald Trump. You can watch her explain her decision, as well as comment on any detractors of Trump, below.

Liberal comedian Rosie O'Donnell wants to "stick a fork" in Rudy Giuliani but when it comes to his fellow conservative Roseanne Barr, O'Donnell only has kind words.

"I think Rudy Giuliani is done and we should stick a fork in him and he's a bumbling old man-fool in a suit that doesn't fit," the 56-year-old told Extra. "The days of Donald and Rudy running New York are over."

But one conservative O'Donnell can stomach is fellow comedian Barr. She revealed that while the lifelong friends share opposing political views, they still have love for each other.

"We have 100% conflicting political views," O'Donnell said. "And we are very close friends. She's like a big sister to me. She will always be my big sister and I will always love her and defend her."

She continued, "There are people with varying degrees of opinions and I don't think she and I could be any further apart, and I love her, and that's just two complicated thoughts that exist in one."

'Roseanne' tackles Muslim stereotypes and immigration

Barr, 65, is a vocal supporter of Trump in her personal life and she plays one on TV too. The actress plays a Trump voter in the reboot of her hit sitcom "Roseanne."

Barr has been open about depicting her iconic TV character as a working-class Trump supporter.

“I mean, everybody had to choose for themselves, according to their own conscience, who they felt was the lesser of two evils,” she told Jimmy Fallon of the 2016 election last week. “You know, everybody chose that, so I’m not going to put anybody down who didn’t vote like me. This is America, it’s a free country, and when you weigh it all together, I just felt like we needed a whole new thing. All the way. Bottom to top.”

Iranian-born reality star Reza Farahan said the only thing he and President Trump agree on is Iran.

The "Shahs of Sunset" star praised Trump's stance on the Iran nuclear deal, telling TMZ he hopes this will lead to peace in the worn-torn country.

"Normally, I don't support the orange comb-over motherf--ker, but I do support pulling out of the Iran deal," the 44-year-old told the gossip site. "I think the sanctions -- if we stick with it and enforce it -- [will] choke the government to the point where the residents can't take it anymore."

He continued, "Then they will overthrow this terrorist dictatorship regime and there will be peace hopefully in that region. And Iran can stabilize the rest of the Middle East."

Farahan, who was born in Iran's capital and later moved to Beverly Hills, also sounded off an Iran's supreme leader, Ali Khamenei.

"I hope that what Trump has done is keeping you up at night," the 44-year-old said. "F--k you and your family! I hope you guys all go down and I hope the people give you what you deserve."

Trump’s announcement Tuesday that the United States would withdraw from the 2015 Iran nuclear agreement marks just the latest development in the president's ongoing effort to undo predecessor Barack Obama's legacy -- including trying to dismantle Obamacare while making drastic changes to U.S. immigration and military policies.

In his address to the nation announcing the pullout, Trump said the Iran deal had been “so poorly negotiated that even if Iran fully complies, the regime can still be on the verge of a nuclear breakout in just a short period of time.”

In part, the deal was made to reduce Iran’s ability to produce two components used in making nuclear weapons: plutonium and uranium. In return, crippling economic sanctions on Iran were to be abated.

Jerry Seinfeld said Tuesday that taking routine shots at President Trump “doesn’t interest him” as much as some of his comedic colleagues. 

Seinfeld, speaking to former late-night host David Letterman at Netflix’s FYSee space in Los Angeles, said he’d rather talk about raisins than Trump.

"No, it doesn't interest me. I do a lot of raisin stuff," he said. "I have a lot of raisin material. Because you know you have the Sun-Maid company, and you have the Raisinet people."

The ‘My Next Guest Needs No Introduction’ host then asked Seinfeld whether he sides with the Sun-Maid people, according to Complex.

"I just think that it’s interesting that after 80 years, Sun-Maid finally went, 'Hey, why don’t we put some chocolate on it?' Imagine not thinking of that for 80 years. So that really gets me excited, that people pay me to talk about those kinds of things,” Seinfeld said.

Letterman and Seinfeld also discussed Michelle Wolf’s performance at the recent White House Correspondents’ Dinner, which was widely panned.

“I really had great admiration for the fact that she was able to just walk into that room and decimate the place,” Letterman said.

Seinfeld added that he doesn’t know Wolf, but likes people who are working on their stuff every night.

Actor and comedian Joe Piscopo is joining the growing group of "Saturday Night Live" alums who've spoken out against the show's perceived liberal bias.

On Monday, Piscopo blasted porn star Stormy Daniels’ guest appearance on the late-night NBC show saying it was "over the line."

During the skit, the 39-year-old actress engaged in negotiations over a payment that she allegedly received from President Trump to stay silent.

“What do you need for this to go all away?” asked the fake Trump to Daniels, played by Alec Baldwin.

“A resignation,” responded Daniels.

Piscopo told Fox Business journalist Maria Bartiromo the decision to feature Daniels on SNL was in poor taste.

“I’m so loyal to 'SNL,'” said the 66-year-old during an interview on “Mornings with Maria” Monday. “But Stormy Daniels on 'SNL'? Lorne Michaels doesn’t even ask me to go on 'SNL'.”

Piscopo starred in the late-night comedy show between 1980 and 1984, where he was famous for his impression of Frank Sinatra.

“It was such a great, organized sketch,” he said of the controversial skit. “But don’t put Stormy Daniels in there — what do I tell my kids?”

Baldwin quickly took to Twitter where he responded to Piscopo's statement.

"Joe Piscopo asks, 'What will I tell my children?'" tweeted the 60-year-old. "You tell them that Trump is a compulsive adulterer who pays off porn stars w $ from dubious sources. What else?"

Back in 2017, Piscopo told The Hollywood Reporter that despite being a lifelong Democrat, he supported Trump, his acquaintance for 25 years, during the presidential election.

“The reason I voted for Trump is because he said two words I’ve never heard a politician utter in my life,” he explained at the time. “Two words: ‘Inner city.’ I’m a spokesman for the Boys and Girls Club in New Jersey.

"I’ve walked the inner city 25 years. My mission in life has been at-risk children… I’m a blue-dog Democrat. So what am I? A moderate conservative? I don’t even know what I am. All I know is when it comes to jobs, I’m a union guy.”

Piscopo, who described himself as an “Italian Catholic pro-lifer," considered running for New Jersey governor as a Republican but ultimately decided that same year not to do so.

The entertainer isn’t the only SNL alum who has openly shared their conservative views over the years.

Rob Schneider, a veteran of SNL, told The New York Daily News in April he believed Baldwin’s Trump impersonation is ruining the show because the actor lets his personal politics take center stage.

“The fun of ‘Saturday Night Live’ was […] you never knew which way they leaned politically,” said the 54-year-old. “You kind of assumed they would lean more left and liberal, but now the cat’s out of the bag [and] and they are completely against Trump, which I think makes it less interesting because you know the direction the piece is going.”

Schneider went on to compare Baldwin’s performance to comedian Dana Carvey’s impression of President Bush in the late ‘80s and ‘90s.

“Carvey played it respectfully,” he added. “To me, the genius of Dana Carvey was Dana always had empathy for the people he played, and Alec Baldwin has nothing but a fuming, seething anger towards the person he plays.”

Darrell Hammond, who had a 14-year run with SNL and played over 100 characters for the series, including Bill Clinton, gained even more popularity when he was cast as Trump. However, he was dumped in 2016 and replaced by Baldwin by SNL boss Lorne Michaels.

Hammond, who admitted to being crushed by the news, told the Washington Post in March he always tried to remain apolitical with his impressions and instead, chose to study Trump’s movements and speech patterns for a more accurate portrayal.

“I just started crying,” Hammond said about losing the role to Baldwin. “In front of everyone. I couldn’t believe it. I was in shock, and I stayed in shock for a long time. Everything wiped out. The brand, me, what I do. Corporate appearances canceled. It was a hell of a shock, and all of it was apparent to me in one breath. That ends me.”

“I needed another force, on an acting level, to have the power that Trump was embodying then,” Michaels explained to The Post about the controversial decision. “The Darrell Trump… it wasn’t the Trump that had gotten darker. It was the Trump from ‘The Apprentice.’”

But not everyone on SNL has agreed with Michaels’ moves. In 2015, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Victoria Jackson, a six-year veteran of SNL, took to social media to publicly wonder if her opposition to gay marriage caused the 73-year-old to treat her differently than other cast members.

Jackson was described as “a Christian conservative, a Tea Party favorite and an extremely vocal critic of President Barack Obama.”

“So, it’s still a mystery,” said Jackson, 58. “… Was I blacklisted for disagreeing with the president/media’s ideology? Was it because I am a Christian? Is it because I believe in the Biblical definition of marriage and publicly spike out against homosexual themes in primetime TV shows? Is Lorne [Michaels] ashamed of me?”

Dennis Miller, who found fame with SNL in the ‘80s, told Illinois-based Herald News in January there has been a wave of political correctness that seems to be engulfing college campuses across the country, limiting the voice of free speech for comedians.

“I don’t demonize people on the left like they demonize people on the right,” said the 64-year-old. “All I can tell you is that people like me aren’t as stupid as they think we are. I often see people on TV decrying people who have some conservative leanings. You have to understand socially, I’m very liberal. I don’t fit in there as easily as people would like me either.”

Miller added that while he doesn’t always agree with Trump’s statements, he isn’t afraid to support a president who isn’t afraid to speak his mind.

“There are days when I look at Trump and he’ll say something that makes me shake my head,” he said. “There are other days that he’ll say something that makes me shake my head up and down as opposed to sideways.

"I will say this about Donald Trump, I do think unlike most politicians, his outer voice, for all its warts, is an accurate depiction of his inner voice. Whereas most politicians, Hillary Clinton indeed, I don’t think their outer voice and inner voice has ever even met for a cup of coffee.”

In 2004, the New York Times described Miller as “a liberal-turned conservative comedian” who defended President Bush and the war in Iraq. He said the 9/11 tragedies partly contributed to change his political leanings.

But not every conservative SNL alum has faced backlash for their views. Jon Lovitz, who made a well-publicized rant against then-President Obama -- in which he called him “a f------ a-----“ for encouraging class warfare -- said his bold statements resulted in job offers pouring in.

“I found out a TV show I did a pilot of, I’m pretty sure it [it would be] picked up today,” the now-60-year-old comedian told Fox News’ Sean Hannity in 2012. “I’m getting book offers, I’m getting other TV offers, I’m getting movie offers. There’s been no backlash because what I said is true.”

In 2016, David Spade told Bill O’Reilly that he avoids bringing politics into his comedic acts.

“I’m just being funny… goofing around,” said the 53-year-old. “I think my mom said, ‘When you’re younger, you’re a Democrat. When you get older, you get Republican. Republicans get a bad rap.”

Norm MacDonald also told Vulture in 2017 that while SNL tends to shine when their sketches get political, jokes about Trump aren’t a laughing matter, especially for viewers looking for a fun escape on television.

“Personally, with comedy, I think if it doesn’t make you laugh 100 years from now, what good is it?” said the 58-year-old. “…It’s good for them, because ‘Saturday Night Live’ is at its best when it’s political.

"You’d think they’ll have to find another approach to Trump eventually. I can’t see making jokes with that fever behind them for so long before the whole thing collapses into itself."

 

U2 angered fans last week after the rock band tweeted support for legalizing abortion in Ireland.

The band tweeted a graphic with the words “Repeal the 8^th,” referring to the upcoming Irish referendum on abortion. Voters in Ireland will head to the polls on May 25 to possibly repeal Article 40.3.3 of the Irish Constitution, which gives unborn fetuses the same right to life as the mother.

Though some supported U2’s stance on the issue, many pro-life fans said they were “disappointed” with the band.

“This breaks my heart. I have loved and followed you for 20 years. I still love you but I can’t follow you down this road. My tickets to upcoming shows will go unused,” one fan wrote.

Another fan tweeted, “So disappointed. A fan since the release of the single ‘Fire’ back in the day.  I’m pro choice as I believe God is. All our choices are our choices and should be freely made But to support abortion?? And this coming from such a Life loving, Life giving band. #sosad #don’tgetit”

“Unfollowing one of my (former) favorite bands,” one person tweeted.

“U2 ‘two hearts beat as one’ Why do you want to stop the unborn baby's heart from beating ? #savethe8th,” another tweet read.

Some fans also commented on the band promoting Christian values. Lead singer Bono, a Christian, previously spoke about his religious belief and supported those living in poverty and who are the weakest and most vulnerable.

Liberal comedian Rosie O'Donnell is being accused of exceeding the legal limit for campaign donations, according to a weekend report from the New York Post.

The report claims that the Trump critic used fake names and addresses in the five donations that exceeded the limit of $2,700 per candidate.

Conservative filmmaker Dinesh D'Souza, who was convicted of making an illegal campaign contribution in 2014, posed the question on Fox & Friends Monday morning on whether or not O'Donnell would face charges for her alleged crimes.

"It seems clear from what we know, that Rosie broke the law and she broke the law five times," D'ZSouza said. "So it's in a sense an egregious violation."

He continued, "What makes it particularly sneaky on her part is that she used four different names and five different addresses. So it seems clear that she knew what she was doing and she was trying to cover her tracks."

D'Souza pleaded guilty in 2014 for donating $20,000 to New York politician Wendy Long. He was sentenced to five years probation, eight months in a halfway house and paid a $30,000 fine.

"Now normally, if these offenses occur a single time, particularly when there's no corruption involved they don't prosecute them. But they do prosecute repeat offenders and it seems clear that Rosie, in this sense, is a repeat offender," the 57-year-old stated.

Former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik echoed D'Souza's remarks, writing on Twitter, "Will @Rosie be held to the same standard as @DineshDSouza for illegally exceeded campaign contribution limits?"

O'Donnell, in a statement released over the weekend, put the onus on the candidates and their campaigns instead of herself.

"If 2700 is the cut off – [candidates] should refund the money," O'Donnell wrote in an email to the New York Post. "I don't look to see who I can donate most to … I just donate assuming they do not accept what is over the limit."

O’Donnell told the paper that donating to anti-Trump candidates eases her anxiety.

Filings show that O’Donnell has donated more than $90,000 to 50 different federal candidates and committees during the 2017-18 election cycle.
