According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the number of children in the United States with autism has risen by 78 percent over the past decade.  It is now estimated that 1 out of every 88 children in the United States has some form of autism disorder.

Our schools are absolutely packed with “special needs” children, and millions of parents are desperately trying to figure out why so many kids are having such severe developmental problems.

Strangely, most autistic children start out perfectly normal.  Most of them develop just fine for the first year or two and then something dramatic happens.  So what could that possibly be?  Well, there is a secret that you are not supposed to know.

That secret is that vaccines are one of the primary causes of autism.  As the number of vaccines being administered to our children has risen, so has the percentage of our children with autism.  Today, in some areas of the United States more than 30 vaccines are being given to young children before the age of 3.  When you inject so much mercury and so much other toxic material directly into the bloodstreams of vulnerable young children, bad stuff is bound to happen.  The evidence linking vaccines and autism continues to mount, and yet the pharmaceutical establishment continues to vigorously deny that there could possibly be any link between the two.

Each year, there are thousands upon thousands of parents that take their perfectly healthy toddlers into the doctor to get a vaccine and later end up deeply regretting it.  Shortly after taking one too many vaccines, many children get sick, stop talking and never recover.  The parents of those children are left absolutely devastated.

If you start surfing around the Internet you can find enough testimonies like this to keep you reading for days on end.

But for the pharmaceutical establishment, a link must never be admitted between vaccines and autism.  Hundreds of billions of dollars of profits are at stake, and the legal implications of admitting that vaccines cause autism would be absolutely mind blowing.

The big pharmaceutical companies will never, ever, ever, ever admit a link.  And since those companies also spend billions of dollars advertising on the mainstream media, the mainstream media will never admit a link either.

It is all about the money. So they have to act incredibly puzzled about what is causing cases of autism to dramatically surge in the United States. And “dramatically surge” is actually an understatement.

It is getting really hard to deny that the epidemic of autism in America is absolutely exploding.  The following is from a recent CNN article….

In 2000 and 2002, the autism estimate was about 1 in 150 children. Two years later 1 in 125 8-year-olds had autism. In 2006, the number was 1 in 110, and the newest data — from 2008 — suggests 1 in 88 children have autism.

So what is causing this?

The mainstream media is floating all kinds of bizarre theories. But an increasing number of U.S. parents are coming to one conclusion.  Despite overwhelming propaganda in the mainstream media that vaccines do not cause autism, one poll found that one out of every four parents now believe that vaccines cause autism.

So why are so many parents not listening to the “experts”?

Well, it is because of what they have seen in real life.  The following is from a recent Huffington Post article….

It’s a fact that many children with ASD regressed following normal development just as they were receiving multiple vaccines at regular doctor visits. Health officials say the timing is entirely coincidental.

Regression usually occurs between 12 and 24 months, though one study found that some children show signs of autism as early as six months, but never before that age.

By six months of age, most U.S. children have received about 18 inoculations containing 24 vaccines against nine diseases. Over the next two years or so, they will receive another nine shots containing 14 vaccines against 12 diseases.

So whether a child regresses at six months, or 18 months, the tragedy happens during a period of intensive vaccination. In many cases, parents report that the child had an abnormal reaction after being vaccinated (seizures, spiking-fevers, diarrhea, lethargy, high-pitched screaming and/or other symptoms).

If your kid stopped talking within days (or even hours) after receiving a vaccine, how would you feel?

The big pharmaceutical companies have funded many studies to try to show that there is no link between vaccines and autism, but many independent studies contradict the findings of those corporate-funded studies.  The following is from an article by Paul Joseph Watson….

Epidemiologist Tom Verstraeten and Dr. Richard Johnston, an immunologist and pediatrician from the University of Colorado, both concluded that thimerosal was responsible for the dramatic rise in cases of autism but their findings were dismissed by the CDC.

Cases of autism in the U.S. have now increased by over 2700 per cent since 1991, which is when vaccines for children doubled, and the number of immunizations is only increasing. Just one in 2,500 children were diagnosed with autism before 1991, whereas one in 91 children now have the disease, up from one in 150 just six years ago.

So what is so bad is about thimerosal?

Well, thimerosal contains mercury which is one of the most toxic substances known to mankind.  Mercury has been proven to severely impair neurological development.  The following comes directly from the EPA website….

For fetuses, infants, and children, the primary health effect of methylmercury is impaired neurological development. Methylmercury exposure in the womb, which can result from a mother’s consumption of fish and shellfish that contain methylmercury, can adversely affect a baby’s growing brain and nervous system. Impacts on cognitive thinking, memory, attention, language, and fine motor and visual spatial skills have been seen in children exposed to methylmercury in the womb.

So why in the world would we want to pump massive amounts of mercury into our young children when their brains are just starting to develop? It is literally insane to do this!

Many other countries around the world have recognized this and have banned thimerosal from vaccines.

In 1977, a Russian study found that adults exposed to ethylmercury, the form of mercury in thimerosal, suffered brain damage years later. Studies on thimerosal poisoning also describe tubular necrosis and nervous system injury, including obtundation, coma and death. As a result of these findings, Russia banned thimerosal from children’s vaccines in 1980. Denmark, Austria, Japan, Great Britain and all the Scandinavian countries have also banned the preservative

So why is it not banned in the United States?

And why do so many American parents still allow it to be pumped at very high levels directly into the bloodstreams of their precious young children?

There are thousands upon thousands of parents that are willing to testify that they would never have allowed their children to be vaccinated if they could go back and do it again.

My son developed autism after his 15 month vaccinations. It is no surprise considering he took 26 vaccinations up to that point. His fragile system could take no more poison and regressed from speaking 19 words (consistently) at 15 his month check-up to speaking 2 words (infrequently) at his 18 month check-up. I STRONGLY believe doctors are being manipulated/deceived in Medical School……and therefore…….get out only to manipulate/deceive their patients. 3 WORDS…..NEW WORLD ORDER……Research it. I’m glad to see that many of us ‘sheep’ are starting to wake up. This is all biblical revelation by the way. In Revelations, The City of Babylon is said to have ‘deceived the world with their SORCERY’ (greek translation is Pharmekia…..which is Pharmaceuticals!!!!) When are the CHRISTIAN churches going to wake up to this??????

Well, I have not one, but two children with autism after getting the childhood vaccines. I trusted the doctors who bullied me into it. They talked me into it and said there was relatively little chance my children would have a reaction. Well, after the shots my kids got so sick I had to put both of them in the hospital for 4 days on IVs. Their limbs were limp and they couldn’t hold their heads up – all they could do was lay there and have diarrhea and fevers. I thought they were going to die. After that they were delayed and got autism diagnosis. Now explain with your statistics how many children had autism before the ’80s….1 in 10,000!!! Recently it has been figured at 1/60 -90 depending on the source or state. Statistically there is no such thing as a genetic epidemic. There is likely a genetic component or weakness that is set off by some environmental insult to the system. I’d say a likely culprit is vaccines in combination with our crappy modern diet of highly processed foods and junk plus a lack of proper sunlight and vit D3.

I have had four kids and have never been told or encouraged to get a flu shot from my OBGYN during any of my pregnacies. Please don’t get this vaccine if you are pregnant and don’t give it to your children!! Vaccines cause many illnesses and even deaths. I almost lost my daughter to Autism she was slipping away but I stopped vaccines & she became healthy again. Why would anyone give or allow their newborn child to be injected with these toxins. They are the cause of many of the childhood illnesses & diseases we have today. Autism, ADD, ADHD, Asthma, allergies and others too. There’s alot of info. available to find out more. Please find out the truth for yourself…

When our daughter was 18 mos she had a severe reaction to her immunizations – extremely high temp, inconsolable, and it lasted for days after the shot – it was awful. She even displayed some signs of autism, which scared us to no end, but finally subsides. We began to be wary of all vaccines and now regret giving the few that we did to our three kids. Of course the Dr’s have all given us a hard time. We homeschool, and I have heard that since homeschooled children usually have less vaccines (the schools require all vaccines to be “up to date”) that there are less incidents of autism. I think a lot of people have made bad decisions in addition to making a lot of money off of vaccines. God did not intend for us to pump toxins into our blood streams. On the back of my kids’ records it says “Baby Shots, A Healthy Dose of Love!” – NOT.

Do you have any idea how many people I know, mainly little boys, have developed autism after having one of those very small, harmless shots that we’re told are perfectly safe? Nearly a dozen! Without investigating every single thing that is going into our bodies, we are lambs led to slaughter. Our lives and the lives of our kids are at stake. The day the Pharm companies gives vaccines free and they don’t make any money from it, I will trust them more. Until that day, be very cautious that we are all being manipulated for the almighty dollar!

Autism is 1:91 with 1:58 boys as of last month. The signs of autism are not visible until the child is at least 12 months old. Until then TAKE CARE. Follow the alternative vaccine schedule posted on GenerationRescue.org. Eat organic foods, cut out sugar and junk foods, take your prenatal vitamins/multi-vitamins after birth and get your vitamin D & B12 levels checked after you give birth. BREASTFEED YOUR BABY FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE. In the meantime, extra vitamin A and C are helpful for their developing brains and immune system. Probiotics can be given to a newborn too. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF & YOUR BABIES NOW…hopefully your child won’t become part of the autism epidemic, or get severe food allergies, automimmune disorders or even cancer in the future. I wish you all the best motherhood has to offer . Sincerely, from a mother living w/autoimmune disorders, who was ‘vaccine injured’ many years ago, with two children, one with autism. But it isn’t just young children that are being harmed by vaccines. Thousands upon thousands of pregnant women have lost their babies very shortly after taking vaccines. Thousands upon thousands of adults have become permanently disabled very shortly after taking vaccines.

Once you understand that vaccines can cause autism, it becomes much easier to treat it.  The following is a quote from Dr. Russell Blaylock….

Studies of autistic children have frequently shown very high levels of mercury, with no other source but vaccines found for the exposure. For example, all over America children that have not received all of the “required vaccines” are being banned from school. In some instances, children are actually being taken away from their parents for not giving them the “proper” vaccines.  In one recent case in Pennsylvania, a social worker took custody of a baby just after it had been born just because the mother would not consent to have the child vaccinated.

This is complete and utter madness.

Shouldn’t parents have the right to determine whether or not their young children will be pumped full of mercury and other toxic substances?

Shouldn’t parents have the right to question whether it is a good idea to inject kids with dozens of vaccines before the age of 3?

But that is not the way that our system works.  The big pharmaceutical companies fund the campaigns of our politicians, and then they get our politicians to bully us into taking their vaccines.

Before you ever decide to vaccinate a child, educate yourself about vaccines as much as possible.
Once again this year, thousands upon thousands of American children will become permanently disabled needlessly.

What in the world has happened to us?  Despite our ridiculously high standard of living compared to the rest of the world, America is a deeply unhappy place.  When I was growing up, there were no “smart phones”, the Internet did not exist, if you wanted to buy something you had to actually go to a store and hunt for it, and most vehicles were pieces of junk that completely broke down after a few years.

Today, we have hundreds of television channels, we have more movies than we could ever possibly watch, video games have become wildly creative and there is an app for almost anything that you could possibly need on your phone just a few clicks away.

We are literally drowning in entertainment, and yet we are far less happy than previous generations.  In fact, the CDC says that the suicide rate in the United States has risen by 34 percent since the year 2000…

Men who work in construction and extraction had the highest rates of suicide in the United States, according to a report published Thursday by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. For women, suicide rates were highest among those who work in arts, design, entertainment, sports and media.

From 2000 to 2016, the suicide rate among the US working-age population — people 16 to 64 — increased 34%, the report says.

It greatly saddened me to learn that construction workers and miners have the highest suicide rates in the entire country.  My grandfather was a construction worker, and he took great pride in his work.  In fact, I still have a wooden bowl that he made for me sitting on my desk as I write this article.

On the other end of the spectrum, suicide rates are lowest among teachers, professors and librarians…

For both sexes, the occupational group with the lowest rate of suicides was education, training and library. This includes jobs such as teachers, professors and archivists.

This surprised me, because anyone who has ever spent much time in a classroom understands how much stress a teacher must endure on a daily basis.

But overall, the news is not good.  At a time when the U.S. has been at peace and supposedly “prospering”, our suicide rate has been absolutely skyrocketing.

If this many people are killing themselves now, what is going to happen once things get really, really bad in this country?

Of course the authorities are at a loss as to how to solve this crisis.  They are saying that this rise in suicide is a “tragedy” and that we must increase “prevention efforts”…

“Increasing suicide rates in the U.S. are a concerning trend that represent a tragedy for families and communities and impact the American workforce,” said Dr. Debra Houry, director of CDC’s National Center for Injury Prevention and Control. “Knowing who is at greater risk for suicide can help save lives through focused prevention efforts.”

In other words, they want us to throw more money at the problem.

In America today, whenever anything goes wrong the “solution” always seems to be to make the government even bigger and spend more taxpayer money.

But the truth is that big government is not going to save us.  People don’t need more government bureaucrats telling them how to run their lives.  Instead, what people really need is to find meaning and purpose in life, and that is not something that big government is going to provide.

Suicide rates are particularly high in many rural areas.  In fact, a previous CDC report discovered that the suicide rate in rural areas is actually 45 percent higher than in “large urban areas”…

The suicide rate in rural America is 45% greater than in large urban areas, according to a study released last fall by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. A more recent CDC report said Montana’s suicide rate leads the nation, coming in at nearly twice the national average. A third long-touted CDC study, currently under review, listed farming in the occupational group, along with fishing and forestry, with the highest rate of suicide deaths.

That occupational study was based on 2012 data, when farming was strong and approaching its peak in 2013, says Jennifer Fahy, communications director for the nonprofit Farm Aid. Farmers’ net income has fallen 50% since 2013 and is expected to drop to a 12-year low this year, the US Department of Agriculture reports.

Without a doubt, things are tough in rural areas all over the nation right now.  According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, almost 1 out of every 4 children in rural areas is currently living in poverty.  My wife and I live in a rural area, and there are so many families up here that are deeply struggling right now.

As the middle class has deteriorated, more Americans than ever have been forced to turn to the government for help.  At this point, almost 52 percent of all children live in a home that receives monthly help from the federal government…

The Census Bureau has released new data that strengthens the case for calling the current generation of American children “The Welfare Generation.”

Among American residents under 18 years of age in 2017, according to the Census Bureau, 51.7 percent lived in households in which one or more persons received benefits from a means-tested government program.

If the U.S. economy really was in good shape, we wouldn’t have such a dramatic problem with poverty.

And this is something that a lot of Americans are quite concerned about.  The following are some very interesting numbers from a recent MSN poll…

• Approximately 2/3 of people are concerned about the level of poverty in the United States right now.


• Women are 1.2x more likely than men to be concerned about the issue of poverty.


• Generally speaking, the more money you make, the less likely you are to care about poverty (although more than half of those making $150K+ are still concerned about the issue).

From those numbers, it looks like men have some work to do in the compassion department.

In the years ahead, poverty is likely to get a whole lot worse in this country.

The suicide rate has already been spiking during “normal times”, and many are deeply alarmed about what might happen once this nation enters a period of utter despair.

When you use the Internet in a public place, do you prefer to have as much privacy as possible?  Well, that makes you a potential terrorist.

According to the FBI, Internet privacy is now considered to be suspicious activity.  If you are out in public and you attempt to keep snoopers from peeking at your computer screen, then according to the FBI they should gather as much information about you as they can and they should report you to the authorities immediately.

If this seems completely and totally ridiculous to you, then you are not alone.  Millions of Americans have become deeply concerned about the constantly expanding definition of “suspicious activity” in the United States.  Sadly, the federal government is now engaging in an all-out attempt to have us all spy on one another.

All over America, the Department of Homeland Security is running ads promoting the “See Something, Say Something” campaign.  They even had 8,000 stadium workers at the Super Bowl this year go through special training on how to spot potential terrorists.  So the next time you see a hot dog vendor, keep in mind that he might also be part of a special anti-terrorism task force.

The following are some quotes from a government document entitled “Potential Indicators of Terrorist Activities Related to Internet Café“.  In between each quote, I have included some commentary.  It is absolutely amazing what the definition of “suspicious activity” now includes….

“Are overly concerned about privacy, attempts to shield the screen from view of others”

Look, if I am doing some online banking, or am composing an email to a friend, I don’t want someone peeking at my screen.  Aren’t most Americans “concerned about privacy,” and don’t most people want to keep their Internet activity to themselves?

“Always pay cash or use credit card(s) in different name(s)”

We have seen the government warn about this before.  It appears that from now on using cash in America is going to get you labeled as a potential terrorist.  How bizarre is that?

“Act nervous or suspicious behavior inconsistent with activities”

Some people are just naturally nervous.  This kind of vague language could be applied to almost anyone.

“Are observed switching SIM cards in cell phone or use of multiple cell phones”

What if your cell phone battery is dead and you need to use your wife’s cell phone?  Does that make you a potential terrorist?

“Travel illogical distance to use Internet Café”

A lot of times people will use Internet cafes when they are out of town on a trip.  Is there something inherently suspicious about that?

“Evidence of a residential based internet provider (signs on to Comcast, AOL, etc.)”

Why in the world would this be considered to be suspicious activity?

“Use of anonymizers, portals, or other means to shield IP address”

These are lots of people out there that take Internet security very seriously and that use things like this.  And how would a casual observer know that these kinds of things are being used?  You would have to be watching someone pretty closely to know that something like this is going on.

“Suspicious or coded writings, use of code word sheets, cryptic ledgers, etc.”

What would “suspicious or coded writings” include?  Again, this is very vague language and could include a vast array of different things.

“Encryption or use of software to hide encrypted data in digital photos, etc.”

So nobody should use encryption anymore?

“Suspicious communications using VOIP or communicating through a PC game”

What exactly would fall under the category of “suspicious communications”?

Also, if you are talking to someone through a PC game, there is a good chance that it is a very violent PC game and that you would say something that you normally wouldn’t say in real life.

You might say something like this: “Okay let’s get the guys together and go kill the boss.  We’ll meet at the Gates of Endor in a half hour.”

According to the FBI, that could easily be labeled as “suspicious activity” that needs to be reported to the authorities.

So exactly what are we being instructed to do if we see something suspicious?

Well, the following is one of the action points from the FBI flyer….

“Identify license plates, vehicle description, names used, languages spoken, ethnicity, etc.”

That sounds like something the KGB would ask people to do.

But it isn’t just Internet privacy that the FBI is concerned about.

There is another FBI flyer out there that is directed at those running hotels and motels.

The document is entitled “Potential Indicators Of Terrorist Activities Related To Hotels And Motels”, and you can view the entire document for yourself right here.

The following are things that the FBI says make a hotel guest “suspicious”….

“Request specific room assignments or locations.”

I do this all the time.  I always request a non-smoking room and I always prefer a king size bed.  Also, if I have a lot of stuff to carry I may request a room on the ground floor.  Does that make me suspicious?

“Use cash for large transactions or a credit card in someone else’s name.”

Once again, using cash is considered to be a suspicious activity.  How long will it be before they try to outlaw cash?

“Arrive with unusual amounts of luggage.”

Has the person writing these things ever even traveled with a woman?

“Make unusual inquiries about local sites, including government, military, police, communications, and power facilities.”

When I am visiting a new area, I will often talk with hotel staff about places to eat or places to visit.
Is that a problem?

“Refuse cleaning service over an extended time.”

This is something that I have done for years.  I don’t want a maid to wake me up at the crack of dawn.  If I refuse cleaning service will that get me put on a list somewhere?

“Use entrances and exits that avoid the lobby.”

Many hotels have entrances all around the building so that you don’t have to walk a mile to get to your car.

If I walk out a side door directly to my car does that make me a potential terrorist?

“Abandon a room and leave behind clothing and toiletry items.”

How many of us have ever left something behind in a hotel room by mistake?  Sometimes I triple check the room and still manage to leave something behind.

“Do not leave their room.”

Sometimes when you have a day off you just want to stay in bed all day.

Or if you are newly married you may not want to leave your room for a few days.

Should newly married couples be reported to the government as potential terrorists?

“Change their appearance.”

I change my appearance all the time.

If I am on vacation, I may not shave for several days.

And most people I know wear different clothes every single day.

So exactly how dramatic would a “change” of appearance have to be in order to be considered suspicious?

“Leave the property for several days and then return.”

Sometimes people have business plans or vacation plans that involve an unusual schedule.

Whoever wrote these flyers does not seem to have a lick of common sense.

Using the criteria above, almost anyone could be considered to be engaging in suspicious activity. And it is highly offensive that the federal government is instructing us to watch one another so closely. When did the United States turn into East Germany?

Unfortunately, these flyers are just another sign of the mass paranoia that seems to have descended on this country.

In America today, everyone is a “potential terrorist” and will be treated as such.

If the authorities will detain U.S. Senators at our airports for “security reasons” and if they will issue hundreds of thousands of tickets to school children, then there is no reason to believe that you are going to be treated with dignity and respect.

The United States is rapidly becoming a Big Brother police state.  I didn’t sign up to live in North Korea, but that is exactly where we are headed.

We have been told that all of our rights are now “limited privileges” that can be taken away at any time for the sake of “national security”.

Sadly, most Americans have become convinced that if we give up large amounts of liberty and freedom it will help the authorities keep us safe.

But that is a lie.  Without a doubt, more bad things are going to happen in the future.

When those bad things happen, we will be told that we need to give up even more liberty and freedom.
In the end, we will be living like slaves.

And we will still not be safe.

Please wake up America.

The Internet is rapidly being transformed into a Big Brother control grid where privacy rights are being systematically strangled to death.  The control freaks that run things have become absolutely obsessed with watching, tracking, monitoring and recording virtually everything that you do on the Internet. One thing that you can count on is that nothing you do on the Internet will ever be private again.  In fact, if you are obsessed with privacy then the last place you want to be is on the Internet.

Most Americans have absolutely no idea how far Internet surveillance has advanced in the past few years.  At this point, it would be hard to imagine any place less private than the Internet.  Do not ever put anything on the Internet that you would not want the authorities or your employer to hold you accountable for.

Basically, the Internet is creating a permanent dossier on each one of us, and we contribute to this process by freely posting gigantic volumes of information about ourselves on social media websites such as Facebook and Twitter.  The Internet is the greatest tool for mass communication that the world has perhaps ever seen, and it gives average citizens the ability to communicate with each other like never before, but there is also a downside to using the Internet.  Everything that we do on the Internet is being watched, monitored and recorded and there is no longer any such thing as Internet privacy.  If you think that you still have any privacy on the Internet, then you are either ignorant of what is going on or you are being delusional. The following are 10 reasons why nothing you do on the Internet will ever be private again….

#1 The Federal Government Can Now Retain Your Internet Activity For Five Years – Even If You Have No Links To Terrorism
In the past, the National Counterterrorism Center could only retain information about you for 180 days if you did not have any links to terrorism.

Well, that has now completely changed.

Attorney General Eric Holder has signed new guidelines which will now allow the National Counterterrorism Center to hold on to your private information (including your Internet activity) for five years.

But an extra four and a half extra years is no big deal, right?

#2 Potential Employers Are Demanding To See Your Internet Activity
In the past, potential employers would pull up the social media profiles of job candidates in order to get a better idea of who they might be hiring.

But now, many potential employers are actually demanding the passwords to the Facebook accounts of job applicants.

The following comes from a recent CBS News report….

The bad news is that employers are increasingly asking job seekers for their Facebook and other social-media passwords as part of the process of vetting them.

While it’s unclear how widespread that practice is, there’s plenty of anecdotal evidence to suggest that it is happening with increasing frequency, as CBS MoneyWatch’s Suzanne Lucas details. You can, of course, refuse to give a job interviewer your passwords. But expect your employment application to hit the round file, or the trash, if you don’t cooperate.

#3 Law Enforcement Is Watching You
Do you remember the father that posted that “Facebook Parenting for the troubled teen” video that went wildly viral all over the Internet earlier this year?

That video was watched more than 31 million times, but it also resulted in both the police and Child Protective Services officials visiting his home.

So be careful what you post on YouTube.  If you post something that they don’t like, law enforcement personnel may come knocking on your door.

#4 Government Agencies Are Watching You
The FBI, the CIA, the Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. military and the Federal Reserve have all announced plans to systematically monitor social media websites such as Facebook and Twitter.

These agencies have lists of “keywords” that they use to search for posts that they want to look at.
For example, the words “attack”, “exercise” and “epidemic” are just three of the keywords that the Department of Homeland Security is known to use.

So keep that in mind the next time you post something on Facebook or Twitter.

The following is from a recent Salon article….

In 2010, the DHS National Operations Center established a Media Monitoring Capability (MMC).  According to an internal agency document, MMC is tasked with ‘leveraging news stories, media reports and postings on social media sites… for operationally relevant data, information, analysis, and imagery.’  The definition of operationally relevant data includes ‘media reports that reflect adversely on DHS and response activities,’ ‘partisan or agenda-driven sites,’ and a final category ambiguously labeled ‘research/studies, etc.’

#5 Barack Obama Is Watching You
The Obama campaign has launched “truth teams” which will be scouring the Internet for any rumors that are “not true” about Barack Obama during the 2012 presidential campaign.

So if you post something on the Internet about Barack Obama that the Obama campaign does not consider to be truthful, there is a good chance that a “truth team” will be examining what you have written.

#6 They Are Monitoring And Recording All Talk Radio (Including Internet Talk Radio)
As I have written about previously, the FBI has hired a company in Virginia to systematically record talk radio programs (including Internet talk radio programs) all over the United States.  The goal of this effort is to collect “potential evidence”, whatever that means.  The following comes from an article by Mark Weaver of WMAL.com….

If you call a radio talk show and get on the air, you might be recorded by the FBI.

The FBI has awarded a $524,927 contract to a Virginia company to record as much radio news and talk programming as it can find on the Internet.

The FBI says it is not playing big brother by policing the airwaves, but rather seeking access to what airs as potential evidence.

#7 Foreign Governments Are Watching You
It isn’t just the U.S. government that is watching you on the Internet.  The truth is that governments all over the world could be monitoring your Internet activity and you may never even know it.

In fact, the level of Internet surveillance in some countries is arguably even greater than it is in the United States.

For example, a new bill that has been introduced in Canada would give government authorities unprecedented power to monitor the Internet activities of Canadians….

The so-called ‘lawful access’ legislation, tabled in the House of Commons Tuesday, will require Internet service providers and cellphone companies to hand over basic customer information — including name, address, phone number, email address, and ISP addresses — to authorities when requested, without the need for a warrant.

Dubbed ‘online spying’ by critics, the bill is also expected to require ISPs and phone companies to install equipment for real-time surveillance and create new police powers designed to obtain access to the surveillance data.

The UK government is going even farther than that.  A recent UK government report calls for ISPs to remove “extremist material” from the Internet.  The following is an excerpt from that report….

The Counter-Terrorism Internet Referral Unit does limited but valuable work in challenging internet service providers to remove violent extremist material where it contravenes the law. We suggest that the Government work with internet service providers in the UK to develop a Code of Conduct committing them to removing violent extremist material, as defined for the purposes of section 3 of the Terrorism Act 2006. Many relevant websites are hosted abroad: the Government should also therefore strive towards greater international cooperation to tackle this issue.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy is taking things even further than that. He recently stated that anyone in France that is caught regularly visiting websites “preaching hatred” will be prosecuted.
So what constitutes “extremist material” and what constitutes “preaching hatred”?

Unfortunately, almost every government on earth has different definitions for those things.

#8 We Are All Being Encouraged To Spy On One Another On The Internet
For the U.S. government, it isn’t enough just to have bureaucrats and spooks spying on you.  Now they want us to spy on one another.

The Department of Homeland Security has been heavily promoting the “See Something, Say Something” campaign.  The idea is that if you see something “suspicious” that you should report it to the authorities.

Unfortunately, the definition of “suspicious activity” has expanded so dramatically in recent years that it could include just about anything.

The paranoia among our leaders has gotten completely out of control.  For example, a while back U.S. Senator Joe Lieberman requested that Google install a “terrorist button” on all Blogger.com blogs so that readers could easily flag “terrorist content” for authorities.

Thankfully nothing like that has been implemented yet, but that is the direction that we are heading as a nation.

#9 Your ISP Is Watching You
Most Americans have not even heard about this yet, but the truth is that starting later on this year your ISP will be spying on you to make sure that you are not downloading any copyrighted material.

SOPA and PIPA may have failed for now, but the Obama administration has brokered a deal between the entertainment industry and the major Internet providers that is absolutely unprecedented.  This deal will go into effect on July 12th.  The following is from a recent Raw Story article….

If you download potentially copyrighted software, videos or music, your Internet service provider (ISP) has been watching, and they’re coming for you.

Specifically, they’re coming for you on Thursday, July 12.

That’s the date when the nation’s largest ISPs will all voluntarily implement a new anti-piracy plan that will engage network operators in the largest digital spying scheme in history, and see some users’ bandwidth completely cut off until they sign an agreement saying they will not download copyrighted materials.

Word of the start date has been largely kept secret since ISPs announced their plans last June. The deal was brokered by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), and coordinated by the Obama Administration.

So be careful what you download on the Internet.

Your ISP will be watching.

#10 The NSA Is Watching Everyone And Everything
It is safe to assume that any digital communication that you ever make will be intercepted and monitored by the NSA.

Of course this has been an open secret for years, but now the NSA is taking things to a whole new level.

The NSA has been constructing the largest spy center in the history of the world out in the Utah desert.  The following is how a recent Wired article described this new facility….

Under construction by contractors with top-secret clearances, the blandly named Utah Data Center is being built for the National Security Agency. A project of immense secrecy, it is the final piece in a complex puzzle assembled over the past decade. Its purpose: to intercept, decipher, analyze, and store vast swaths of the world’s communications as they zap down from satellites and zip through the underground and undersea cables of international, foreign, and domestic networks. The heavily fortified $2 billion center should be up and running in September 2013. Flowing through its servers and routers and stored in near-bottomless databases will be all forms of communication, including the complete contents of private emails, cell phone calls, and Google searches, as well as all sorts of personal data trails—parking receipts, travel itineraries, bookstore purchases, and other digital ‘pocket litter.’

So please do not assume that anything you do on the Internet will ever be private again.

The online world has now become a world where there is absolutely no privacy.

Some are responding to this new reality by running away from the Internet, but I think that is the wrong approach.

The Internet has broken the monopoly that the elite had on mass communication.  It has given average people the ability to communicate with one another like never before.  A YouTube video or a blog post that you put up today could be seen by tens of millions of people.  Information is power, and the Internet has put a tremendous amount of power into the hands of the general population.

Yes, there will be people watching every single thing you do on the Internet.  So it is important to be very careful.

But the Internet also gives us an opportunity to impact the world that is unlike anything previous generations have ever had.  Something that you post on the Internet today could end up completely changing a life on the other side of the globe tomorrow.  Those in power have begun to recognize how powerful the Internet is, and so they have begun to crack down on it.

It is also important to keep in mind that the Internet allows us to watch them as well.  The Internet is an incredible tool for exposing evil and corruption, and over the past decade we have seen many instances when average people on the Internet have broken major news stories that the mainstream media would not dare touch initially.

In the final analysis, the ability to wake people up and to literally change the world outweighs the risks of being watched.  If the world eventually descends into deep tyranny, you aren’t going to have anywhere to hide even if you are not on the Internet.

Don’t be afraid to stand up for the truth.  It is better to do what is right and to be persecuted for it than to stand aside and do nothing.

The Internet is an awesome tool.  It can be used for great good or for great evil.

If we sit on our hands, we will accomplish nothing.

But if we try, we might just end up changing the world.

One of the fastest ways to ruin the Internet would be to put the United Nations in charge of it. Unfortunately, that is exactly what the United Nations wants. The United Nations is now pushing very hard for complete control over the Internet. A proposal that has the support of China, Russia, India, Brazil, Saudi Arabia and Iran would give control of the Internet to the UN’s International Telecommunication Union.

This is perhaps the greatest threat to the free and open Internet that we have seen yet.

At a UN conference in Dubai this upcoming December, representatives from 193 nations will debate this proposal. The United States and many European nations are firmly against this proposal, but it is unclear whether they have the votes to stop it. Unlike the Security Council, there are no vetoes when it comes to ITU proceedings. So the United States may not be able to stop governance of the Internet from being handed over to the United Nations. The United States could opt out of any new treaty, but that would result in a “balkanized” Internet.

If the UN gains control over the Internet, you can expect a whole new era of censorship, taxes, and surveillance.

It would be absolutely catastrophic for the free flow of commerce and information around the globe. Unfortunately, many repressive regimes are very dissatisfied with how the Internet is currently working and they desperately want to be able to use the power of the UN to tax, regulate and censor the Internet. Needless to say, that would be a disaster. International control over the Internet would be a complete and total nightmare and it must be resisted.

Top Internet experts are sounding the alarm bells about this proposal as well. The following comes from a recent CNET article….

Vint Cerf, Google’s chief Internet evangelist, co-creator of the TCP/IP protocol, and former chairman of ICANN, said the ITU meeting could lead to “top-down control dictated by governments” that could impact free expression, security, and other important issues. 

‘The open Internet has never been at a higher risk than it is now,’ Cerf said.

Sadly, the United States cannot block this from happening. As an article by Robert M. McDowell explained, all it is going to take for this proposal to be accepted is for a simple majority of the 193 UN members states to agree to it….

Regulation proponents only need to secure a simple majority of the 193 member states to codify their radical and counterproductive agenda. Unlike the U.N. Security Council, no country can wield a veto in ITU proceedings.

Once the ITU gains control, the United States and other nations could attempt to “opt out”, but that would create a “balkanized” Internet that would be much different than what we have today.

The powers that would be given to the ITU under the current proposal would be extraordinary. A recent article in the Wall Street Journal summarized some of the powers that the ITU would be granted….

‘Google, iTunes, Facebook, and Netflix are mentioned most often as prime sources of funding,’ McDowell said. Added Rep. Anna Eshoo, a California Democrat whose district includes Facebook’s headquarters, many countries ‘don’t share our view of the Internet and how it operates.’

If the UN is given control of the Internet, that would be a massive step toward making the UN a true global government. The Internet is the number one venue for free speech and freedom of expression on the planet today, and if the UN is given authority over the Internet it would only be a matter of time before free speech is severely cracked down on. Of course it would not happen immediately. At first, UN officials would likely mostly keep their promises of maintaining a “free and open Internet”. But inevitably you would see them act to remove “terrorists” from the Internet, to crack down on “hate speech” and to repress any “politically incorrect” speech that is likely to insult anyone in any way.

If you were censored or banned from the Internet, you could scream about the 1st Amendment all you want, but the United Nations is not bound by the 1st Amendment. The UN is not there to protect you or your freedoms. If the UN becomes “the government of the Internet”, you can essentially kiss freedom of speech goodbye.

If you do not believe that this could ever happen, you might want to pay close attention to a UN conference that is being held over in Dubai starting today. It is called “the World Conference on International Telecommunications”, and it is scheduled to last for two weeks.

During this conference, Russia, China and a number of Islamic nations plan to make a hard push to have the Internet formally placed under the authority of the United Nations. Right now, a non-profit organization that is based in California is primarily in charge of running the Internet. The organization is known as ICANN (The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers). But now there is going to be a huge effort to take authority away from ICANN and give it to the United Nations. China, Russia and a number of Islamic nations are arguing that the Internet is a global asset and that it should be governed by a global authority. However, if the UN is given authority over the Internet, not only will they inevitably kill the “free and open Internet”, it will also be a huge leap for the UN toward becoming the government of the world.

Other nations participating in the conference want to tax the Internet and use it as a way to transfer money from the wealthy nations to the poor nations. Fortunately, the United States does not have to go along with this treaty if it does not want to. The treaty is entirely voluntary, and the U.S. could decide to opt out.

But is there anyone out there that is actually willing to trust that our politicians will do the right thing on this treaty or on any other major issue?

Even if the U.S. did opt out, we could see a “Balkanization of the Internet” in which the “U.S. Internet” is largely cut off from the “UN Internet” that most of the rest of the world is using.

So even though this conference over in Dubai is not getting a lot of attention in the mainstream media, the stakes are huge.

Even Google is concerned. Google is asking users to sign a petition supporting the free and open Internet…

A free and open world depends on a free and open Internet. Governments alone, working behind closed doors, should not direct its future. The billions of people around the globe who use the Internet should have a voice.

Fortunately, at least some of our politicians are aware of what is going on. Once in a while, one of our lawmakers says something that is right on the money. This was true of U.S. Representative Greg Walden the other day…

‘The ability of the Internet to grow is due largely to the flexibility of the multi-stakeholder approach that governs the Internet today,’ said Rep. Greg Walden (R-Ore.). Government intervention would not only harm the Web but ‘endanger the global economy and freedom on a much larger scale.’

But the way that the Internet works now does not work for repressive governments such as China and Russia. Repressive regimes don’t do well when there is freedom of speech and freedom of expression. There are a lot of nations out there that would love to use the UN as a tool to crack down on speech that they do not like.

And we have certainly seen repressive governments crack down on Internet speech in recent years. All over the world average citizens are getting into trouble for exercising free speech on the Internet. A recent CBC article included some recent examples…

Last month in Iran, four people were arrested for posting messages on Facebook that were deemed insulting to officials. Four Kuwaitis were jailed for purportedly using Twitter to criticize the country’s ruler earlier in November. And in the most publicized recent case, two women in Mumbai were arrested for posting and ‘liking’ a comment on Facebook admonishing supporters of late nationalist Hindu politician Bal Thackeray.

Can you imagine how bad things would get if the UN developed a global “Internet speech policy”?

Already the UN is expressing concern about how “terrorists” are able to use the Internet to “spread propaganda”. The following is from a recent article by Kurt Nimmo…

Terrorists are exploiting Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Dropbox, to spread ‘propaganda’ and open Wi-Fi networks in airports and libraries pose a threat to national security and enable “perpetrators,” according to ‘The Use of the Internet for Terrorist Purposes,’ a PDF released at a conference in Vienna held by the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). 

The globalist organization claims terrorists are running rampant on the internet and leveraging social networks because there ‘is the lack of an internationally agreed framework for retention of data held by ISPs,’ particularly in the United States. 

The United Nations report was produced in collaboration with the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Implementation Task Force. Members include the World Bank, Interpol, the World Health Organization, and the International Monetary Fund.

This may sound harmless to you, but what if they decide that you are a “terrorist” if you oppose the United Nations? How would you feel if you were permanently banned from the Internet and thrown in jail for writing a blog post about how evil the United Nations is?

Are you starting to get an idea of how this kind of power could be horribly abused?

Even now we are seeing law enforcement authorities all over the world enforce the “rules of the Internet” in an iron-fisted manner. For example, according to NBC News a 10-year-old girl in Finland recently had her laptop confiscated by authorities for simply trying to download one single album…

Last year, 9-year-old Julietta came across a torrent on The Pirate Bay after searching on Google for Finnish pop star Chisu’s latest album. The download failed to work, and she and her father went and bought the album together shortly afterwards. Unbeknownst to them, Finland’s Copyright Information and Anti-Piracy Centre (known as CIAPC, as well as its Finnish acronym, TTVK) had already taken notice.

This incident resulted in Finnish police standing at the front door of the home of this little girl and taking her laptop away…

Last Tuesday morning, he found a pair of Finnish police officers standing at his doorstep. 

The police presented a search warrant, entered, and identified the now 10-year-old girl’s Winnie the Pooh-decorated laptop as the object of their search, and confiscated it.

If you think that is bad, then you definitely would not want the UN implementing and enforcing global Internet laws.

You see, the United States is one of the only nations on the face of the earth that still guarantees freedom of speech. Of course that freedom of speech is now greatly limited and is being eroded with each passing day, but in most other nations things are even worse.

As I have noted previously, in the UK it is now against the law to insult someone with your speech. Many other nations have similar restrictions on freedom of speech.

So what would you do if the UN started implementing “global speech codes” for the entire Internet?

How would you fight back?

Are you starting to get an idea of how dangerous all of this could potentially be?

A free and open Internet is one of the greatest assets that we have. It has enabled regular people to communicate with each other on a massive scale unlike anything we have ever seen before in human history.

In the years ahead there are going to be constant efforts to restrict our ability to communicate with one another on the Internet. It is imperative that we oppose those efforts.
