Talk about a feast fit for royalty.

After celebrating their wedding ceremony at St. George’s Chapel earlier today, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are officially celebrating their nuptials with a lunchtime reception for their 600 guests at St George's Hall in Windsor Castle hosted by the queen, Kensington Palace confirmed in a statement obtained by Fox News. Roughly 7,500 items of food have been prepared by a team of 25 chefs, led by royal chef Mark Flanagan, for the special event, with many of the food items locally sourced to the Windsor region.

According to the release, the A-list guests will be served a variety of canapés including: Scottish langoustines wrapped in smoked salmon with citrus crème fraiche, grilled English asparagus wrapped in Cumbrian ham, garden pea panna cotta with quail eggs and lemon verbena, heritage tomato and basil tartare with balsamic pearls, poached free range chicken bound in a lightly spiced yogurt with roasted apricot, croquette of confit Windsor lamb, roasted vegetables and shallot jam and warm asparagus spears with mozzarella and sun-blush tomatoes.

In addition, guests can munch on a selection of “bowl food” choices including fricassee of free-range chicken with morel mushrooms and young leeks, pea and mint risotto with pea shoots, truffle oil and parmesan crisps and 10-hour slow-roasted Windsor pork belly with apple compote and crackling, Kensington Palace said. In addition, sweet canapés will also be offered and includ Champagne and pistachio macaroons, orange crème brûlée tartlets and miniature rhubarb crumble tartlets.  

In terms of spirits, guests can sip on Pol Roger Brut Réserve Non Vintage Champagne and a selection of wines, the release states. Soft drink choices include an apple-and-elderflower mocktail, made with the same elderflower syrup as used in the wedding cake, and Sandringham Cox's apple juice.

In addition, the highly anticipated and tradition-breaking lemon elderflower wedding cake incorporating “the bright flavors of spring” will also be served at the lunchtime reception.

“I can’t tell you how delighted I am to be chosen to make Prince Harry and Ms. Markle’s wedding cake,” baker Claire Ptak said in a statement. “Knowing that they really share the same values as I do about food provenance, sustainability, seasonality and most importantly flavor makes this the most exciting event to be a part of.”

She started Young Chefs Academy in 2003 in Waco, Texas, and now Young Chefs Academy has 30 locations across the United States as well as in six countries. Burleson explains that, in addition to the art of cooking, the curriculum teaches children etiquette, the history of food, the science behind food, math, vocabulary and culture.

Aside from the far-reaching curriculum, franchising has spurred the company’s growth.

Burleson notes that she always had franchising on her mind so that entrepreneurs could be empowered to start their own businesses. The franchise model includes curriculum, training model and support system.

“We are the first franchise concept of its kind,” says Burleson. “We teach children and teens the joy and value of cooking, while also serving as a platform for motivated people to launch their own Young Chefs Academy with a team behind them.”

Dunkin’ Donuts is honoring Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s May 19 nuptials in its own way: with a “Royal Love Donut.” 

The food item is “perfect for serving up a little sweetness while readying for the royal festivities,” the company said in a Tuesday press release.

As for what the doughnut is like? Dunkin’ says it's “filled with jelly and frosted with chocolate icing and a strawberry drizzle.”

The company says customers will be able to get their hands on the sweet concoction at participating stores from May 14 to May 20.

Despite the news, Dunkin’ Donuts is no stranger to making doughnuts with the royal family in mind. The company also made a “Royal Wedding Donut” for Prince William and Kate Middleton in April 2011.

At the time, Dunkin’ described the treat as a “a heart-shaped donut filled with jelly and topped with vanilla icing and a chocolate drizzle.'”

“The heart signifies the love between Prince William and Catherine, and the donut is filled with jelly to represent how their lives are to be ever-filled with happiness,” the company said in a 2011 press release. “In honor of the traditional white wedding gown, the donut is topped with white frosting, but adds a modern twist with the chocolate drizzle, in celebration of William’s love for chocolate.”

A Wisconsin man who since 2016 has held the Guinness World Record for the most McDonald's Big Macs consumed has reached another milestone after eating his 30,000^th Big Mac on Friday.

Don Gorske, 64, ate the record-extending double-patty sandwich at a local McDonald's restaurant and says he’s eaten so many simply because he loves hamburgers.

According to the retired prison guard, he’s eaten at least one Big Mac a day since May 17, 1972.

His achievement was recognized by Guinness World Records in 2016 when he was tallied in at 28,788 Big Macs.

Gorske says that despite eating the fast-food favorite at least once a day, his cholesterol and blood pressure readings are both normal.
