George H.W. Bush got a chance to see “Hamilton” at Houston’s Hobby Center Saturday night a few days after the cast and crew gave the former president a special performance.

Bush, 93, shared a photo on Twitter Sunday of him holding a Playbill and wearing “Hamilton”-inspired socks.

“Finally had the chance yesterday to catch some new friends in action @HamiltonMusical -- properly attired in Hamilton socks, surrounded by family and friends, epic story and performance. Not a big hashtag man, but congratulations #HamFam!!” the former president tweeted.

His spokesman, Jim McGrath, also tweeted Bush enjoyed "loved every minute of the three-hour show." 

Last Tuesday, Bush also shared photos of the cast and crew at his Houston-based office. Another showed him listening as the Broadway performers appeared to belt out a song.

The 41st U.S. president attended the musical performance weeks after being released from the hospital earlier this month. Bush was hospitalized on April 22 after contracting “an infection that spread to his blood,” McGrath said.  

He was admitted to Houston Methodist Hospital a day after the funeral of his wife, former first lady Barbara Bush, who died at age 92.

First lady Melania Trump tweeted Wednesday that she was "feeling great" after undergoing a kidney procedure earlier this week.

President Trump's wife tweeted thanks to her doctors at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center outside Washington, as well as "all who have send good wishes & prayers."

She added, "I am feeling great & look forward to getting back home @WhiteHouse soon."

The post was the first lady's first public comment since she was hospitalized Monday for an embolization.

President Trump is visiting his 48-year-old wife for the third day in a row. Trump, 72,  joked during a visit to the Capitol on Wednesday that the first lady should be the one visiting him in the hospital, not the other way around.

On Tuesday, Trump said he expected his wife to be back at the White House before the end of the week.

First lady Melania Trump underwent an embolization procedure Monday to treat a benign kidney condition, the White House announced.

Mrs. Trump was treated at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and will likely be in the hospital for the rest of the week, according to the first lady’s communications director.

“This morning, First Lady Melania Trump underwent an embolization procedure to treat a benign kidney condition. The procedure was successful and there were no complications,” the communications director, Stephanie Grisham, said in a statement Monday. “Mrs. Trump is at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and will likely remain there for the duration of the week. The First Lady looks forward to a full recovery so she can continue her work on behalf of children everywhere.” 

Grisham told Fox News that the first lady “is doing well. Doing well.” She did not say whether the procedure was previously scheduled.

President Trump arrived at the hospital Monday afternoon to visit the first lady. Before departing the White House, Trump tweeted that his wife was in "good spirits."

"Thank you to all of the well-wishers!" Trump added. 

A White House official told Fox News that the president spoke with his wife before the procedure, and spoke with her doctor afterwards. Trump arrived at the hospital by helicopter and got into a waiting SUV. He waved to reporters, but declined to speak.

The White House made the announcement less than an hour after former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's family said the lawmaker underwent cancer surgery earlier Monday. Doctors removed a tumor from his pancreas and the prognosis for his recovery is “good,” according to his family.

Last week, the first lady, who’s 48, unveiled the “Be Best” campaign, which addresses the well-being of children, social media and opioid abuse.

“We can and should be best at educating our children about the importance of a healthy and balanced life,” the first lady said during a speech in the Rose Garden last week.

Last month, she took the lead in planning the first state dinner of the Trump administration, welcoming French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte, to celebrate nearly 250 years of U.S.-French relations.

Former first lady Michelle Obama said Saturday that she was "concerned about us as women and how we think" in the wake of Donald Trump's victory over Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election.

Obama was the keynote speaker at the United State of Women Summit in Los Angeles, where she was joined on stage by "Black-ish" star Tracee Ellis Ross.

"When the most qualified person running was a woman, and look what we did instead, I mean that says something about where we are," said Obama in reference to the election, in which 41 percent of all women -- and 52 percent of white women -- pulled the lever for Trump.

"If we as women are still suspicious of one another, if we still have this crazy, crazy bar for each other that we don't have for men," Obama added, "if we're not comfortable with the notion that a woman could be our president ... then we have to have those conversations with ourselves as women."

Since leaving the White House last year, Obama has emphatically denied that she will run for elected office and did so again on Saturday.

"Change starts close to home. So looking for the next person to run ... that's been our distraction," she said. "We're just going to wait for the next person to save us."

"All of us here in the room are the answer to our own problems," Obama added. "It is not finding the one right person that we think can save us from ourselves. It's us."
