A homeless man who spent over three months in jail after being wrongfully accused of trying to pay for his Burger King meal with a counterfeit $10 bill is now suing the restaurant for nearly $1 million.

Emory Ellis, who lived on the streets of Boston, went into the fast-food chain in November 2015 to order breakfast when the cashier called the police over the allegedly fake cash.

The call resulted in Ellis’ arrest for forgery of a bank note, which triggered a probation violation, and he remained in jail without bail until his final probation violation hearing, the Associated Press reports.

Ellis is now suing the fast-food chain and franchisee for $950,000 for discrimination, saying he was unfairly treated based on the color of his skin and economic status.

Ellis’ attorney, Justin Drechsler, who’s white, told AP, "A person like me would've gotten an apology, but a person like Emory somehow finds his way in handcuffs for trying to pay for his breakfast with real money."

According to the lawsuit, the Burger King employee refused to give Ellis his money back and threatened to call police if he didn’t leave the restaurant, the The Washington Post reports.

It also states that besides losing three months of his life, Ellis suffered from “sleeplessness, anxiety and depression associated with defending himself against this baseless charge that exposed him to a potential criminal sanction of life in prison.”

Ellis was released in February 2016 after the Secret Service found the money he tried to use was real and prosecutors dropped the forgery charge.

A spokesperson for Burger King Corp. told AP that the company doesn’t tolerate discrimination "of any kind," but cannot comment on the specifics of the case. They did note that individual franchisees are responsible for training employees and handling legal matters specific to their location.

The video captured the millennials' excitement over trying Chick-fil-A, although a few expressed disappointment when eating the cuisine for the first time.

“It’s kind of deflated,” a woman said.

“It’s very squishy bread, I don’t like that already,” added another woman.

One of the taste testers called the sandwich “surprising” and “salty.”

“It’s very bland,” another millennial said. “There’s not that much flavoring.”

Meanwhile, one other participant described the sandwich as "way better than what I expected” in a rare thumbs-up review.

When it came to fries, the millennials had more positive things to say.

“These fries are way better than other fast food fries,” a millennial said.

Still others said they were "OK," or that they would “would not try the fries again.”

At the end of the video, one taster expressed her disappointment with Chick-fil-A, saying she did not know what all the fuss was about.

“I was expecting to like it more. It’s got all the fuss,” she said. “But why?”

Social media users took to Twitter stating they were “offended” by the video and could not understand how people did not like Chick-fil-A.

Finally, one user simply summed up their anger by challenging the millennials to duels.

“I’m willing to physically fight everyone in this video,” she tweeted.

A Canadian woman was arrested Monday night after deliberately defecating on the floor of a Tim Hortons restaurant and throwing her feces at a store clerk, according to local reports.

In explicit surveillance video posted to social media websites (WARNING: GRAPHIC VIDEO), the woman can be seen arguing with a Tim Hortons employee before pulling down her pants as other restaurant patrons look on.

Officers from the RCMP, Canada's national police force, took the woman into custody in the parking lot a short time later, The Abbotsford News reported.

The woman, who used nearby napkins to clean herself during the incident, was reportedly refused access to the store restroom.

Tim Hortons representatives confirmed that purchases are not necessary to use store restrooms, although some restaurants may have door codes or other locks on bathrooms, according to local reports.

In an interview with Canada's Global News, a Tim Hortons spokesperson said the company is “deeply concerned by this video as the safety of [their] team members and guests is always a top priority for [them].

As matters escalated, the team member contacted local authorities for assistance."

An intoxicated Illinois man became enraged by Burger King’s hours and stripped off his clothes in the street before striking a cop a few times, police said.

Manuel Silverio of Plainfeild, Ill., had tried to patron the hamburger chain around 2 in the morning on Sunday. According to the fast food restaurant’s website, it closes at 12 am.

"He was visibly upset the business was closed and was banging on the drive-thru, screaming at the employees inside," Deputy Police Chief Eric Allen said to The Herald News. "He was heavily intoxicated."

Officers were called around 2:15 to the chain in Shorewood, Ill., by employees complaining about the drunk and violent man.

When officers arrived, Silverio hit the window again before he “proceeded to strip naked, then put his pants back on,” Allen said to The Herald News.

After determining no property had been damaged and no one was injured, the police contacted one of Silverio’s relatives to pick him up, the news site reported. However, after a police sergeant tried to help the man put his shirt back on, Silverio hit him.

The officers handcuffed Silverio and sat him on the curb to calm down, Allen confirmed to the media outlet.

Once Silverio calmed down, the officer took off the handcuffs. Silverio then reportedly hit the officer in the face and again in the chest.

Silverio was arrested and charged with public indecency, resisting a police officer and aggravated battery.

He was scheduled to appear in court Monday for a bond hearing. 

A woman was arrested Friday night after verbally and physically assaulting staff during a drunken tantrum at a KFC restaurant in Australia.

The unidentified woman was recorded by another customer, Andrew Moschakis, at the Adelaide KFC around 9:30 pm Friday.

Moschakis said the woman was trying to pay for her order via bank transfer because she did not have cash or card on hand, news.com.au reported.

“Then she got very aggravated and started screaming and yelling,” he said to news.com.au.

In the recording the woman is seen picking up EFTPOS machines and whipping them at KFC employees and at the menu monitors -- one of which she hits -- all while screaming curse words and insults.

"That almost got you," the woman says after one of the EFTPOS machines seemingly comes close to a staff member.

After the video stops, Moschakis told news.com.au that the woman grabbed a 24-pack of 7Up cans that were on the counter and threw those as well.

“Then two guys came, they said they were from the store across the road, they both pinned her down until four to five police on horses came and put her in cuffs,” he told the news outlet. “There was no calming her down. She was psychotic.”

According to Newshub, KFC employees fled to the kitchen and placed the call to police.

When police arrived and arrested the young woman, she allegedly spat at the officers, the Daily Mail reported.

The woman was reportedly charged with disorderly conduct, property damage, two counts of assault and two aggravated counts of assaulting police.

No one was injured during the woman’s drunken rampage.

Later, the woman took to social media to apologize, Newshub reported.

"Alcohol is a drug and its [sic] time for me to make a change and go back to the gentle girl that was once me," she shared on her Facebook page, according to the publication. “Life hasnt [sic] been an easy one and we all make mistakes nows [sic] my opportunity to turn it around and make the best life and best me I can.”

Police in Asheville, N.C., have arrested 38-year-old Jeremy Justice in connection with a rash of flashings at Taco Bell, McDonald’s, Buffalo Wild Wings and Waffle House, the Citizen-Times reports.

Officers caught up to Justice early on Wednesday morning, after an employee at a local Buffalo Wild Wings reported a man lying naked on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. The suspect had already fled by the time police responded, but the employee was able to provide police with footage of Justice streaking through the parking lot.

Justice was soon found hiding out behind construction equipment at another nearby business. Asheville Police Department spokeswoman Christina Hallingse further confirmed to the Citizen-Times that Justice had gotten himself dressed by the time he was located.

Justice’s arrest followed earlier reports of a flasher at nearby locations of Taco Bell, McDonald’s and Waffle House.

Anyone who hasn’t seen the latest “Avengers” movie may not get the reference, but the message likely isn’t lost on anyone who knows of Wendy’s and its previous attempts to troll McDonald’s over its frozen patties: Wendy’s wants burger fans to associate Big Macs with some level of obsolescence.

For those who had seen the film, the post took on another meaning.

At one point in the film, a key character utters the same phrase — “I don’t feel so good” — right before seemingly being wiped out of existence.

The format Wendy’s used for its picture — someone or something disintegrating while uttering “I don’t feel so good” — has also become a meme on social media.

Wendy’s first called out McDonald’s over its new Quarter Pounders when Mickey D’s announced the news in March 2017. At the time, Wendy’s was quick to point out that the rest of McDonald’s offerings would still be using frozen beef.

A pregnant Florida woman craved Chick-fil-A so much during her pregnancy that decided to memorialize her love in a series of photos taken by her sister..

Hayley Davis, 25, a photographer for Hay Photography in Florida, told WIS-TV she noticed her pregnant sister Bre Bradford, 28, was constantly craving the fast food joint’s fare.

"Since she craved Chick-fil-A a lot, we decided to do a lifestyle Chick-fil-A photo shoot," Davis told the news site on Wednesday. "Between me being a photographer and my sister being super crafty, we had to make this photo shoot happen."

The sister duo staged a photo shoot complete with Chick-fil-A’s chicken sandwich, nuggets and variety of its signature sauces.

"All we had to do was get some amazing Chick-fil-A and create a little setup in her dining room and then, of course, we ate all the food after," Davis said.

The photographer posted the photos of her sister on the Hay Photography Facebook page on Friday, where they received more than 3,500 reactions and 8,500 shares as of Wednesday.

"When you're 9 months pregnant and Chick-fil-A is life!" Davis captioned the photos of her sister.

She wrote in another post, “When your love for Chick-fil-A is real!”

Bradford, who is pregnant with her second son and due on May 22, even had a cute onesie with the words “Little Nugget” emblazoned on it. In one picture, her baby bump served as a handy “tabletop” for her dipping sauce.

Several Facebook users commented on Davis’ post, saying they loved the idea of the “Chick-fil-A photo shoot” and hoped to replicate the idea.

“This will absolutely be me. I mean what else is a pregnant belly good for other than putting dipping sauces on it??” one woman wrote.

"This is the kind of announcement I'm going to need when I have another child," another woman said. 

Still another added, “This woman is going to be a great mom! Multitasking already — eating while knocking out her maternity pics. Respect”

Taco Bell is bringing back its Naked Chicken Chalupa, along with an even spicier version, on Thursday.

The Naked Chicken Chalupa — perhaps one of the chain's more outlandish offerings, at least when it first debuted in January 2017 — has a shell made out of white-meat fried chicken and Mexican spices, which is then filled with lettuce, tomato, cheese and an avocado ranch sauce.

But customers looking to spice things up can also order the new Wilder Naked Chicken Chalupa, which replaces the avocado sauce with a “bold, smoky Wild sauce,” according to a press release.

Taco Bell-lovers in Cleveland can also experience a third option. There, consumers can order a Nacho Cheese Chicken Chalupa that contains — you guessed it — nacho cheese.

The return and revamp of the Naked Chicken Chalupa comes after Taco Bell launched Nacho Fries and the Naked Egg breakfast taco earlier this year.

Prom season is here and one Pennsylvania teenager decided to prepare for the big dance by including something she loves: Taco Bell.

“I go to Taco Bell literally once every day (sometimes twice), and all of the employees know my order,” Riley Papile told Fox News. “So it was only fitting that I did my prom pictures there!”

Papile said she was taking early prom pictures – the dance is not scheduled until later this month – with her date, Abby, on Sunday when their photographer, Rachel Beck, came up with the idea to incorporate Papile’s love for the fast food chain.

“Our photographer, Rachel Beck, came up with the idea because she knows my love for Taco Bell. Abby and I thought it was so funny. And we were also hungry so it was a win-win!” Papile told Fox News.

The girls, who attend Hatboro Horsham Senior High School, headed to the Tex-Mex restaurant with Beck and started their fast food-inspired photo shoot – but not without some odd looks.

“We first took the photos outside, and it was slow at that time so the employees came outside and watched us,” Papile said. “It was super fun, and we got a lot of weird stares from customers as we were both in gowns in a fast food restaurant.”

“And since [the employees] know me since I go there so often it was even funnier,” she added.

Though Papile did admit she looked a little peculiar while dining at Taco Bell.

“I ate with a bib on so as not to spill taco meat all over my white dress, so that probably looked even stranger,” she said.
