According to Russian Lieutenant General Viktor Poznikhir, the US is surrounding Russia and China with missile defense systems in order to launch a “sudden nuclear strike” and prevent any retaliation.

The US has said recently it’s installing anti-ballistic missile systems in Poland and Romania to prevent Iran from attacking Europe and in South Korea to prevent North Korea from attacking South Korea and Japan.

Poznikhir is suggesting the real reason for these systems is to allow the US to launch a nuclear strike on Russia or China and prevent either nation from retaliating, as their own nuclear missiles would be shot down by the US government’s ABM systems — at least in a best case scenario.

An alleged terrorist detonated an improvised explosive device on a St. Petersburg subway train Monday, killing eleven people and wounding at least 50 more — after which Russian authorities discovered and defused an additional deadly apparatus at a second metro location, likely preventing further carnage.

And while American corporate press published obligatory, cursory rundowns of the incident, notably absent in coverage — as well as on social media — were the typical trite, if maudlin, demands to fight the War on Terror a little bit harder.

Because solidarity. One would think.

Russia has struck over 110 ISIS targets in Syria in just two weeks. Over 40% of the Islamic State’s infrastructure has reportedly been destroyed already.

We lost track somewhere (sadly), but it was recently noted by Putin that, by the time Russia showed up and started systematically destroying ISIS in short order, there were already 11 other countries bombing Syria.

Well, well, well, aren’t we seeing a massive turnaround of late. Putin was so sharp, calm and truthful at the UN and other recent speeches and interviews compared to the same old American false bravado diatribe it was like having a clean shower after swimming through a cesspool.

And the whole free world feels the same.

What I admire about him is his cool demeanor and very artful tact in how he approaches massively sensitive subjects.

He has to cloak it in “diplomati-speak” of course to reach the type of audience within those bound up layers of communication, but he does it masterfully.

The leading anti-Russian figure of the Anglo-American establishment and geopolitical chess player, Zbigniew Brzezinski, has recently declared in an op-ed for the Financial Times that the United States should “retaliate” against Russia for its actions in Syria, even going so far as military action to do so.

According to Sputnik News, Syria’s Ambassador in Russia, Riad Haddad, stated that around 40 percent of the Islamic State's infrastructure in Syria has been destroyed in the past week, since Russia began its military operation in the country.

(Which makes one wonder what the US has been doing for the past year and a half. Luckily, I also have this answer for you.)

"According to our data, about 40 percent [was destroyed]. In addition, a lot of terrorists have been killed. Now, they are retreating toward the Turkish border, as this country has traditionally provided them with protection," Haddad said.

After the first three days of precision strikes, during which Russia bombed 50 ISIS targets, the command post of one of the terror groups has been eliminated, together with an underground storage facility for explosives and munitions. This brought panic and desertion among ISIS ranks.

On June 4 a portion of a report by Army General Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, was declassified, in which he claims that Washington is considering deploying cruise missiles with nuclear warheads in Europe as a response to Russia’s alleged “violations” of the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty, or INF, which the United States and Soviet Union became party to back in 1987.

Four days later a similar statement was made by British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond, who announced London’s willingness to once again accept US nuclear missiles, which were removed from British bases in 2006.

In so doing, the United Kingdom has joined those who are criticizing Moscow for an “offense” that the Russians have never committed at any time or in any place.

The fact is that the new Russian R-500 operational and tactical cruise missile, which is mentioned in the American military documents, does not fall under any of the categories listed in the INF.
