On December 10, Full Measure with Sharyl Attkisson reported a huge buzz-kill for moderate drinkers, the Alcohol Industry, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and certain scientists from Harvard and Yale, and of course U.S. taxpayers:

It’s a sad comment on the quality of “science” being conducted by supposedly reputable scientists.

Our cover story this week looks at promises made to the alcohol industry by researchers at the National Institutes of Health. According to documents, NIH promised positive results in advance of a major study on the benefits of moderate drinking. Once the researchers got caught, the study was cancelled but not before millions of our tax dollars were spent. We look at the internal emails.

Coincidentally, CBS 60 Minutes just reported on Sunday about a $300M federal study being conducted by NIH researchers on how kids’ brains are being affected by screens.  Also included was a 60 Minutes “Extra” segment about how “Toddlers Need Laps Not Apps.”

Research about kids and screens doesn’t seem to have ever mattered to Silicon Valley parents though.  They have always limited their own kids’ use and exposure to screens.  More recently, reports indicate that they are now going to extreme measures to keep their own kids away from screens (i.e. spying on their nannies).

It’s unfortunate that all of this is happening and, of course, at taxpayers’ expense.  Perhaps we should all consider relying more on common sense and “erring on the side of caution” instead of relying only on scientists, so-called researchers, elected officials, and government agencies to determine what is safe and what isn’t.  They have been wrong so many times before about so many different things…

One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back. – Carl Sagan

No matter how you raise a glass to hail your drinking partner(s), or however you offer a friendly toast to them, there’s something you ought to know that may be defeating your good wishes, i.e., beer and wine contamination from glyphosate, the premiere chemical active in the herbicide Roundup®.

You got to be kiddin’, is what I imagine readers saying as they begin to read the latest exposé regarding what’s become the number one chemical contaminant of food crops just about everywhere: Roundup®.

However, a recent study by US PIRG not only found the inordinate increase in the use of glyphosate in food agriculture, as the chart below illustrates, but glyphosate contaminates many more edibles than we can imagine, anything from Cheerios to beer and wine. Glyphosate even has been found in vaccines, about which I wrote here.

Despite these risks, the use of Roundup is growing at such a rapid pace that there is enough Roundup sprayed every year to spray nearly half a pound of glyphosate on every cultivated acre of land in the world. SOURCE: U.S. Geological Survey

The above chart demonstrates just how successful Monsanto’s propaganda was in advertising Roundup® as not being harmful to health, a now-proven scientific fraud, being challenged in the U.S. Court system:

After five weeks of trial proceedings, the jury unanimously awarded Mr. Johnson $289.2 million in damages against Monsanto, finding that the company acted with malice, oppression or fraud and should be punished for its conduct.

“We were finally able to show the jury the secret, internal Monsanto documents proving that Monsanto has known for decades that glyphosate and specifically Roundup could cause cancer,” said Wisner following the verdict. [1]

Thousands of lawsuits are waiting in the wings to be filled regarding Roundup causing Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma in consumers.

Furthermore, the UN’s World Health Organization [WHO] declared glyphosate a Group 2A carcinogen!

Lyon, France, 20 March 2015 – The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), the specialized cancer agency of the World Health Organization, has assessed the carcinogenicity of five organophosphate pesticides. A summary of the final evaluations together with a short rationale have now been published online in The Lancet Oncology, and the detailed assessments will be published as Volume 112 of the IARC Monographs. What were the results of the IARC evaluations? The herbicide glyphosate and the insecticides malathion and diazinon were classified as probably carcinogenic to humans (Group 2A). [2]

Now, US PIRG is telling consumers it has found glyphosate in the following beers and wines:

One would think USDA, the EPA and the Food and Drug Administration would be on top of the glyphosate fiasco they apparently have allowed to escalate and to contaminate food crops over the years but, NO, those agencies ostensibly have been “asleep at the switch” from ‘sucking up’ to false Monsanto science!

How does glyphosate get into just about everything we eat?

• Glyphosate in bone broth

• Once it’s in your system, glyphosate accumulates most heavily in bones and collagen. This is because your body uses glyphosate indistinguishably from glycine, the most prevalent amino acid in collagen.^[9]The same goes for animals raised on glyphosate-drenched GMO corn and soy. When you eat non-organic meat or collagen, you are incorporating significant amounts of glyphosate residues from whatever dose the animal ate. Bone broth and collagen powder are proven ways to increase the collagen in your diet, but not so great if they’re served with a side of Roundup. To maximize your benefit, make sure your bones and collagen come from 100% grass-fed cows. Then head to our easy bone broth recipe to start sipping with confidence. [3]

However regarding the beer and wine contaminations,

While the amount detected was below the Environmental Protection Agency limits, it is still “concerning given the potential health risks,” according to PIRG, which carried out the testing.

The REAL Problem

Regardless that those parts per billion found were below EPA limits, here’s the thousand pound gorilla in food science no one wants to admit and explain:

The cumulative EFFECTS upon the human immune system and body chemistry of consistently “below EPA limits” being consumed daily in almost every bite of food in just about every food product or therapeutic remedy, including baby food!

Don’t food scientists and health regulatory agencies know about addition?

That’s the huge “epidemiological [pattern of disease development] snake” slithering around the entire factory-food-farming industry which, unfortunately, is now beginning to contaminate organic farms from glyphosate oversaturation and spray drifts!

However, here’s something to consider:
