By now, people the world over are well aware of the purge taking place across the Google-owned platform, YouTube.  In fact, in 2017 YouTube terminated our own unblemished account here at Activist Post completely without warning and no recourse.

While many people still maintain that this has been a purge of primarily conservative voices, there are also examples of those on the left as well as the center who have also been struck down. This is coupled with demonetization of certain channels that are permitted to remain active, but can’t earn income. People like Dan Dicks at Press for Truth, for example, who had his account with 250,000 subscribers completely shut off.  In our opinion, this amounts to demonetizing free speech. The opposite would then also be true: certain speech is financially rewarded. Incidentally, Google will also be taking similar action across web sites through its AdSense program, as they recently announced in a letter to publishers.

This presents a dangerous direction for the open discourse that is essential if we are truly engaged in finding truth in the information we consume.

Nevertheless, YouTube claims it is “more important than ever to be an open platform,” just one day after yet another banning spree.

All of this has called into question what exactly YouTube is. Is it a private corporation operating as a publisher — like Activist Post, for example? If so, they can certainly choose what to do with their own private property. However, there is a certain legal liability that comes with that freedom. Or are they a public forum? If so, they could be violating Section 230 of the Telecommunications Act which requires them to be politically neutral and protects them from legal liability.

Prager University is among those who have had their videos removed and has taken legal action to try and determine once and for all what we are dealing with when it comes to social media companies.  In the video below, you can hear directly from Prager’s lawyer, Eric George, who concisely describes the overall issue, and what is at stake in the court case Prager University v. YouTube.

Daniel H. Gervich, M.D. recently wrote in the Des Moines Register that mothers who feed their babies fresh milk constitutes “child endangerment.”

Gervich’s article was in response to natural health advocates, particularly Eileen Dannemann, who are pushing for House Study Bill 585 that would legalize the sale of unpasteurized milk in Iowa, which he opposes.

Gervich quotes a CDC study and uses alarmist language to make his case:

The risk of serious food-borne illness from unpasteurized milk is 150 times greater than from pasteurized products. The risk of illness requiring hospitalization for dehydrating dysentery, hemorrhagic colitis, renal failure, ascending paralysis, Listeria meningitis, septic shock and death is substantial, and the risks are far higher in infants, children and pregnant women than in others.

The problem is that the CDC study that makes these claims of raw milk being 150 times more likely to cause “serious food-borne illness” has been proven to be a cherry-picked fraud.

“What consumers need to realize, first of all,” said Sally Fallon Morell, president of the Weston A. Price Foundation, “is that the incidence of foodborne illnesses from dairy products, whether pasteurized or not, is extremely low. For the 14-year period that the authors examined, there was an average of 315 illnesses a year from all dairy products for which the pasteurization status was known. Of those, there was an average of 112 illnesses each year attributed to all raw dairy products and 203 associated with pasteurized dairy products.

“In comparison, there are almost 24,000 foodborne illnesses reported each year on average. Whether pasteurized or not, dairy products are simply not a high risk product.”

According to Gervich, 112 cases of illness per year nationwide represents a “substantial” risk enough to constitute keeping the consumption of fresh milk illegal and branding those who give it to their children as unfit parents.

Eileen Dannemann, director of National Coalition of Organized Women, wrote a scathing response to Dr. Gervich which can be read in its entirety below:

Using the term ‘child endangerment’ is a loathsome low blow! Dr. Gervich’s overused soundbite simply serves as a perfect example of the establishment attempting to wreak fear in the hearts of all parents that their children might be removed from their home if they do not agree with the prevailing medical or nutritional model consistent with medical, industry, government, stakeholder made up standards or if God-forbid they should dare break the prevailing Iowa law and access a neighbors farm fresh milk on the farm.

Does the Doctor, unschooled in nutrition, plan on calling Child Protective Services for ‘child endangerment’ on those mothers who seek unadulterated, un-homogenized, un-pasteurized farm fresh milk from a sister species as a substantially equivalent substitute? Does he also call the CPS when a mother refuses to vaccinate their child or when independent (emphasis added) researchers show concern over the 41-fold increase in spontaneous abortions and stillbirth reports after the administration of the H1N1 vaccine in the pandemic season?

Oh…Dr. Gervich…you don’t know about that. Well the CDC didn’t tell you and… you didn’t check the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting system either. Just like you have your statistics wrong on the milk issue, you don’t even know or care about parent’s concern about giving their child 45 vaccine doses by the time the child is six years old or injecting them in-utero.

So the educated doctor doesn’t see much difference in the loss of ‘enzymes’ in pasteurized milk?

I suppose he doesn’t see the value in tonsils either which was the standard establishment opinion in my day. God knows why He put enzymes in the milk. Who should we listen to God or Dr. Gervich? Gervich says enyzmes don’t make a difference.

And what about homogenization? The dairy doesn’t want to bother with cleaning their spigots when the fat accumulates. So, they process the milk. In layman’s language, in homogenizing milk the fat molecules and the protein molecules are merged, as it were. So what happens, and why so many children are allergic to milk is that the protein receptors which are distinct from the fat receptors in the body are confused as the fat molecules which are inherently larger are now reduced to merging with the protein molecules and are pushed into the protein receptions causing havoc. That is the layman’s version. And that is what Dr. Gervich recommends for our children.

When goats are born, Dr. Gervich, the kid is as tiny as a newborn. Therefore the milk molecules are more digestible to the human infant than cows milk whose calves are born at the size of adult humans.

So, Dr. Gervich, certified infectious disease specialist, educated in part no doubt by the opinions of quasi-military Epidemic Intelligent Service arm of the CDC — what about the huge numbers of women who have been put on psych drugs such as Effexor, Concerta, Paxil, Prozac, etc? Would you think it is wise to urge these women to breast feed? Or do you think that clean, safe, farm fresh milk, substantially equivalent goat’s milk could be a better substituted than genetically modified (GM)) infant soy formula or milk formula derived from dairy cows fed with GMO waste product (Distillers Grain) of the Ethanol industry, a feed that was banned in New York because the milk produced was ‘swill’?

Perhaps since you have put yourself as a nutritional authority and are against House Study Bill 585 that next year you might consider giving us (stupid Iowa women) — those of us who are blatantly endangering our children — a prescription for raw milk. We promise we will be careful to label it in our refrigerator, as suggested by Iowa City representative Vicky Lensing so that, God forbid, Grandma doesn’t drink it by accident. With your help, we can put farm fresh milk and cannabis in the same category.

We have been reporting on the staggering amount of “pink slime” used in the U.S. food industry over the last few months. Pink slime is a meat filler made from “ammoniated boneless lean beef trimmings or similar products, which are considered unfit for human consumption until ammonia has been added.”

In early March, it was reported by ABC that a shocking 70% of ground beef at supermarkets contained this pink slime.  Since this disgusting food additive has been exposed, natural health activists rallied to demand its removal from McDonald’s and school lunches.  Now major grocery chains are falling to the pressure of activism.

First McDonald’s was forced to stop ammonia-soaked pink slime in their beef after a campaign led by celebrity chef Jamie Oliver raised awareness of McDonald’s use of the meat filler.

Next, activists targeted pink slime in school lunch programs forcing the USDA to cave in and permit schools to opt out of using this tainted meat in public school lunches.

Just yesterday, Safeway, SUPERVALU and Food Lion announced they will no longer carry what the beef glued together with “pink slime” fillers.

“While the USDA and food industry experts agree that lean, finely textured beef is safe and wholesome, recent news stories have caused considerable consumer concern about this product. Safeway will no longer purchase ground beef containing lean, finely textured beef,” Safeway said in a statement.

In addition to these large food retailers, Walmart also announced they will offer ground beef without pink slime, though they declined to remove all the beef that contained lean finely textured beef (LFTB).

“Recently some customers have expressed concerns with lean finely textured beef (LFTB) and, while the USDA and experts agree that it is safe and nutritious, Walmart and Sam’s Club will begin offering fresh ground beef that does not contain LFTB,” Walmart said.

These recent actions prove that when the public is informed about what they’re consuming they will demand healthier products.  It should be noted that once this story broke into the mainstream, it took less than one month for the public outcry to reach enough critical mass to affect change. And it proved that even large conglomerates will quickly change their policies when enough people demand it.

The story of pink slime was echoed by the alternative media long before it was picked up by mainstream news outlets, much like the story of meat glue going mainstream.  We can also see this happening with GMO foods where activism is exposing the health dangers and forcing lawmakers to support GMO labeling.

Swine Flu, Pandemrix and Narcolepsy

The swine flu pandemic of 2009 was caused by a type A influenza (H1N1) virus. This virus was originally referred to as “swine flu” because many of the genes of this new virus were very similar to influenza viruses that normally occur in pigs in North America. The H1N1 virus is genetically similar to the 1918 pandemic virus, as determined from victims of the latter who were buried, and later disinterred, in Svalbard. It was responsible for most of the outbreaks up until 1956 and then disappeared.

Two pharmaceutical companies GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and Novartis had, under considerable time pressure, developed a vaccine against the swine flu. Since the cultivation of an adequate amount of virus to generate the vaccine requires time, GSK and Novartis decided to formulate a weaker vaccine but strengthen it with an adjuvant that contains squalene. Immunologic adjuvants are substances, administered in conjunction with a vaccine, that stimulate the immune system and increase the response to the vaccine. (Source)

Although squalene is a natural substance found in methabolic pathways of the body, its inclusion in a vaccine is controversial and it is not in use in the USA.

On 25 September 2009, the European Medicines Agency (EMEA) approved Pandemrix, the swine flu vaccine produced by GSK and Focetria produced by Novartis. (Source)

The vaccine would be ready for use that October.

In Sweden, Finland, Norway and Iceland, the authorities explicitly set the goal of vaccinating the entire population. (Source)

In this respect, it is of interest that the governments of these countries, already before the outbreak of the swine flu, had concluded an agreement with GSK, according to which they were assured the delivery of pandemic vaccines, if needed. In addition, the contract stipulated that, in a situation characterized as a pandemic by the WHO, the same Nordic countries would have ten days to decide whether or not to accept delivery of the vaccine in question. Hence, the purpose of the agreement was to assure that the entire populations of these countries would receive vaccinations. Finally, the contract protected GSK from any claim for financial compensation in case the delivered vaccine would have any side effects.

When WHO declared the swine flu to be a Phase 6 pandemic, the agreement referred to above was automatically activated.

Mass vaccination started in Finland and Sweden in October 2009. In order to cover the largest possible percentage of the population, the authorities initiated an enormous public relations campaign, which could be described in terms of a “moral persuasion.” Solidarity became the slogan: “Be vaccinated to protect your fellow citizens.” Those who questioned the vaccination program (small groups of vaccine opponents or just people who were hesitant) were looked upon with disapproval.

In contrast to these vaccines — enthusiastic countries, the politics of vaccination within the rest of the European Union varied immensely among its member states. Poland, for example, decided not to buy vaccines at all due to the strict agreement conditions required by the pharmaceutical companies. Denmark’s order covered only “risk groups”. (Source)

The expected second wave of the influenza never appeared. The epidemic gradually declined during the first half of 2010. The same year, on 10 August, WHO officially declared the end of the epidemic.

The European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) stated that the swine flu was less dangerous and had a lower mortality rate than the seasonal influenza.

Thus, apparently the swine flu would not have been a dangerous epidemic even without the mass vaccination.

Interestingly, also that same year, vitamin D was shown to prevent influenza in children. (1)

In Sweden, 60% of the population had been vaccinated, while in Finland 50% was covered. In contrast, the figures in Germany and Poland were only 8 and 0% respectively. In the history of Swedish health care this pandemic campaign amounted to one of the most expensive ever. Enormous amounts of taxpayer money were at stake. (Source)

Meanwhile, the media had become silent on this issue; there was no further discussion about the swine flu anymore.

Then the blow came:

“The absolutely worst thing that could happen,” commented Richard Bergström, the Director — General of the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations, EFPIA. “The worst nightmare of both the industry and the health authorities is an illness that turns out to be mild, while the vaccine that was supposed to prevent a dangerous epidemic causes a severe side effect that was previously unknown.” (Source)

This statement was made almost exactly two years after the THL’s earlier statement made in the midst of the swine flu hysteria that everyone should be vaccinated with Pandemrix and that it would be safe.

In that original statement, the director of the THL emphasized that the squalene adjuvant could increase the side effects of the vaccine to some extent. However, he stated, these side effects would not be dangerous. (Source)

In Sweden, at least 150 children are now suffering from narcolepsy caused by Pandemrix vaccine. In Finland, the number is approximately 100. In both countries the number is probably growing.

Narcolepsy is a disease with lifetime consequences, and the risk that Pandremix may have caused other neurological illnesses has not yet been excluded. Many have already began to compare this tragedy with the thalidomide catastrophe. (Source)

No European countries had a particularly high rate of deaths due to the swine flue. Germany had the same death rate as Sweden, which was 0.31/100 000, although Sweden vaccinated 60% and Germany only 8%. This implies that the vaccine did little to prevent deaths. The responsible authorities have not yet commented on this matter of fact. (Source)

Last year, the Finnish government promised full compensation for those who have developed narcolepsy as a consequence of the vaccination. (Source)

While Sweden did, indeed, follow the Finnish THL in admitting the connection between the vaccine and the disease, the Swedish authorities have not yet decided whether and how to provide appropriate compensation.

In February 2012, Svenska Dagbladet, a widely read newspaper in Sweden, presented an informative and accurate series of articles on this theme. They describe some of the affected children narrating how difficult it is to live with narcolepsy. (Source)

According to the authorities, much research is still underway concerning the details of the vaccine injury. Taking the pressure from the public and the affected families into account, it will be difficult for them to avoid carrying out a thorough investigation. Let’s hope so.

An excellent infographic has been released, which covers many of the physical and mental health problems, as well as the financial burden sold to an increasing number of people who feel they “cannot live without” a cell phone.

As shown below, this obsession manifests in a myriad of ways that affect individual health and social interaction.

It’s not mentioned in the graphic, but the attachment to the cell phone has led to a number of states to ban cell phones after seeing that their use while driving is actually worse than driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

There is one other area key area that is not covered in the infographic, but is also worth mentioning — the radiation effects of cell phones, especially on the young.

Experts have said that cell phones are capable of causing a number of health problems, including depression, infertility and damage to your DNA.

In 2011, the WHO/IARC released a report stating that cell phone radiation may have a carcinogenic effect on humans. In fact, the World Health Organization actually said that cell phones are in the same cancer-causing category as lead, engine exhaust, and chloroform. (Source)

The microwave radiation produced by cell phones has been documented in peer-reviewed studies to be harmful to fetal brains, and Mike Barrett from Natural Society writes that:

A recent report with lead author, John Wargo, Ph. D., professor of Environmental Risk and Policy at Yale University, shows just how damaging EMFs can be for children. 

Research shows that due to developing organs, lower bone density of the skull, lower body weight, and a less effective blood-brain barrier, children are extremely vulnerable to cell phone radiation. (Source)

The physical health effects of cell phones are wide-ranging, including the cell phone towers themselves, but there are ways to minimize their impact, as they are now nearly ubiquitous among the populations of the developed world.

With cell phone subscriptions now outnumbering people in the U.S. it is high time to review the catalog of negative information and decide for yourself if the risks are worth it — the lives of you and your children clearly depend on it.

Why is it that what one government department considers an environmental travesty, another department deems completely safe for the human body? Simple answer: semantics.

A tiny amount of mercury can contaminate a lake and, according to the EPA, cause damage to plumbing pipes and sewage treatment plants.

It causes serious organ damage to the unborn, infants and children. But, when called amalgam fillings, it is approved by the FDA, EPA and national dental organizations as safe even when mercury shows up in the urine of children.

Very often when we in the alternative media cover events, we speak in the abstract of the horrors against “humanity.”  It is more rare, however, that we are able to focus on individual human beings and their personal horrors from being subjected to the fallout of non-human institutions like banks, corporations and bureaucratic government institutions.

We are given insight into real human suffering when we hear the stories of those who wind up beaten and tortured at the hands of a police state war culture gone wild; those who fall victim to a Ponzi-scheme economy; those suffering with vaccine injuries, and other harsh realities. Perhaps worst of all are those who are deemed to be nothing more than a cost of doing business, as we saw with the BP Gulf Oil Disaster. It is then that health, wealth, and even hope fall prey simultaneously.

Fracking is one such environmental evil that is falling hard upon select communities in places across America. The following video is powerful in that it is not a technical overview of what fracking is, not an analysis of the damage it potentially causes, nor is it political. To combat this, we must seek a balanced lifestyle as one of the surest ways to personal independence, as it reduces the need for a corrupt and inept medical system that is the standard the world over, and will force itself upon us if we don’t become wise to their methods. Learn how to eat healthy, use medicinal herbs, improve your mental and spiritual health, and get sufficient exercise to protect and even reduce DNA damage on a path toward becoming more fit to overcome all obstacles thrown your way.

Knowledge: The focus of modern education is centered around producing non-thinking drones who, by their very nature, are dependent on an operator. It’s an education system that prevents us from determining possible threats, let alone puts zero emphasis on teaching real skills to deal with those threats. Once we gain the knowledge to recognize what threatens our freedom, health, finances, environment and so on, we will be armed with the motivation to break free. Then we must educate ourselves and children as to the path and methods needed to achieve independence. One of the most effective ways to ensure that our children are being taught how to live an independent lifestyle is to consider pulling them out of indoctrination centers and homeschool them. And once they are home teach them how to think critically by identifying the modern methods of mind control.

Community: The concept of community is literally being turned on its head. The modern trend is to create a form of mob rule that is displayed in concepts like Communitarianism. This is a system where any true individual is perceived as a threat, instead of as an integral part of the whole. It seeks less diversity, not more. A strong local community is, however, essential in achieving one’s personal independence, as it is a support structure during times of stress or hardship, as well as adding much-needed social bonding and the intellectual stimulation that comes from dialogue and debate. A group of other like-minded individualists who share values, resources, and skills can reduce the overall dependence on agencies and governments that seek exactly that. Although personal independence is the goal, having a tribe of peers for support makes it that much easier.

Financial: The economy is working against us on so many levels, such as currency devaluation due to deficit spending on endless wars and corporate bailouts, which is resulting in rising food prices and a host of other pressures to our financial independence. But it’s also one of the primary reasons to seek independence. True freedom begins by first not being a slave to finances. One should explore solutions rooted in a decentralized model such as local co-ops and alternative markets, as well as barter networks and alternative currencies. For those with Internet skills, starting a blog or website can be a relatively fast way to generate extra income, or even to attain full economic freedom from nearly anywhere in the world. Buy tangible assets and explore strategies for insuring against economic collapse to remain independent regardless of overall economic conditions.

Energy: Major industry stifles alternative and free energy inventions, Nikola Tesla being the best historical example of this suppression. Energy prices are also rising under the weight of a collapsing dollar. Continuing war in the Middle East is putting pressure on oil pricing, and coal supplies are dwindling along with government shutdowns over alleged environmental concerns. Now is the time to consider getting off the energy grid as quickly as possible. There are energy breakthroughs which seek to make this happen on a wide scale and should be investigated. In the meantime, you can make your residence more energy efficient through weather proofing, or by installing solar or wind power as a good first step. There are alcohol options to run your vehicles. Reducing your dependence on outside energy sources also will be a priceless investment even without the prospect of economic collapse. And if a full-blown collapse does take place, you will be in a much better position to remain independent as core infrastructure fails.

Water: There are many reasons why our global store of fresh water is in deep trouble. Everything from industrial pollution, environmental disasters, hydraulic fracturing, pharmaceutical poisoning, and a private corporate takeover by commercial bottlers like Coca-Cola and Nestlé threatens our most precious natural resource. Droughts can create shortages and drive up prices at any time. Ideally, one should have a source of water on site, but it is essential to at least identify sources of spring water in your area, then learn water storage techniques. It also good to have a water purifier for both travel and at home as a backup.

Food: A looming food crisis is quickly coming to a head. Food inflation, shortages, and riots are being announced for 2013 by the mainstream media. We know that documents such as Henry Kissinger’s infamous Memorandum 200 called for using food as a weapon. To maintain independence during this crisis it is essential to learn the best methods for off-the-grid food production. Even with a small property, you can convert your lawn to a perennial permaculture garden as shown in the video below.

At minimum you can create a seed bank, or invest in bulk food storage to preserve food security as well as to have a store of tradable goods. At the very least, identify and support your local farmers markets, family farms and co-ops to build the strength of your own community which will help preserve your personal independence.

Shelter: Most of us still believe a man’s home to be his castle. The outright violations of property rights has reached a scary level, especially in urban centers where roving gangs of corrupt, violent and untrained bureaucrats and their police henchmen even demand home gardens be removed. This, combined with eviction over property taxes (like this 101-year-old woman), has removed nearly all semblance of what it means to have one’s own place of shelter and refuge. But people are fighting back. To regain personal independence it is necessary to organize locally and agree to resist such intrusion. This has been done with some success in certain areas in regards to food freedom, and protecting those who face wrongful eviction. If it is exceedingly difficult to change local statutes, or if your property taxes are foolishly high, it may be time to relocate to an area that offers more freedom.

Legislation: A wave of legislation seeks to criminalize personal independence. You have to know that when the Amish are being attacked and imprisoned, we are very far away from where we started. Raw milk demonization, an ongoing drug war that is a complete disaster, persecution for home gardens, and even declaring certain types of livestock to be an invasive species are all signs that legislation is out of control. The biggest obstacle to legislation is the power that we grant it. Any dictator can make a law, or create an agency to enforce made-up regulations. We must have the courage to resist and be active within our local communities to tell our government (and show them) where the line in the sand is. Tyranny never stops until it comes face to face with an entity bigger than itself. That entity is called We the People.

For anyone who has done even a limited amount of research, or simply looks around with open eyes, our supposedly advanced modern world is becoming a veneer that is wearing very thin. Centralized government aims to demonize anyone who espouses concepts centered on an independent lifestyle. It is more important than ever that we spread the word about what central planners have in store for our world, then commit ourselves to standing our ground, not being slaves, and redoubling our efforts to preserve a strong, but peaceful co-existence. The only way to do this is to empower ourselves and others with the knowledge and skills that will remove the anxiety of being unprepared and defenseless. The open hand we extend should be one given to offer assistance, not to beg for it.
