An Unnamed Financial Operator has swooped in to help save the Shag Harbour UFO Festival. Thanks to a nameless donor, the festival marking the 50th anniversary of Canada’s most famous UFO mystery will go on.

The Westall UFO Incident occurred in a suburb of Melbourne in 1966 and is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. It’s one of the best documented and corroborated UFO cases in Australia with over 200 witnesses including school children and teachers. This segment aired on the Studio Ten TV show hosted by Channel 10 on Australian TV on the 21st January 2016 and included an interview with three of the witnesses and UFO investigator Shane Ryan.

There are some very important elements to this case that point to a dramatic event that was covered up. eg The craft described by witnesses landed for a few minutes, then took off at great speed. The object was metallic and silver in colour and round in shape, with lights around the perimeter. The military arrived within 30 minutes and were heavy handed in silencing the children and this caused trauma to some which they still recall vividly. Tania, a Yugoslavian girl ran up to the craft and then screamed hysterically. She was then taken away in an ambulance NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN at the school. She and her parents were moved out of the town that day. A friend of hers went to visit her the next day and was told by the new owner of the home that no-one by that name had lived there. Fifty years ago, soon-to-be president and then-representative Gerald R. Ford changed the conversation about UFOs in a very permanent way. In 1966, a growing number of reported sightings of Unidentified Flying Objects were coming out of Michigan. Naturally, people were concerned. Being the representative of the state’s 5th District, Ford shared their concern and called upon congress to conduct a “congressional inquiry” into the matter.

And he wasn’t shy about taking on the problem. UFOs were getting a lot of media attention and Ford didn’t shy away from a spotlight. He issued a pre-hearing press release making the case for government transparency and calling out a prominent astronomer.

Ford proposed that either the Science and Astronautics Committee or the Armed Services Committee of the House schedule UFO hearings and “invite testimony from both the executive branch of the government and some of the persons who claim to have seen UFO’s.” Politically speaking, he was all in.      PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Kecksberg, Pa. is a quaint little town in Westmoreland County, known for one thing – something – that crashed there 50 years ago.

At least that was the story. It was back in 1965 when the sky above Westmoreland County was ripped open by a flash of light screaming through the darkness. Something smashed into the woods outside of Kecksburg.
